Hmm, I submitted a new story a few days ago. I checked via My Activity just “to see” and well here we go again.

What do you think? What next steps would you consider?

Wait out the fifteen days and then act?

No, sorry I should have clarified. It is a new story submitted on 1/1/26, Dear Tabitha.

It's only been two days, so you haven't lost much if you resubmit. If you continue to get the error message, that would probably be your best choice.

Not saying this is the case, but it is another possibility. If someone reports the story for some reason the site will often remove it until they investigate it, then if they don't see a problem they'll put it back. If there is a problem, they'll send a rejection message.

These 404's seem to be a lot more common. Give it a day or so and if its still occuring, do two things'
(1) resubmit the story
(2) open a bug report for Manu - who knows what behind the scenes changes have taken place but the bug reports do help LIT as they work thru these upgrades

Bobby, the 404Error also states that “the work is not available.” In essence is is trapped somewhere in the cyber spaces.

This has been one of thenrecurring errors that has been occurring more and more as of late. I was just seeking recommendations from others who have had the same issue and got resolution

Until it is actually published there is not web page associated with it and you will always get a 404 error due to that.

Check your "pending" folder under your "My Works" tab and see if it is in there. This is where you track stories submitted before they get published.

If it's in pending you SHOULD be able to access it. If you get a 404 wjen you try, THAT is a bug or a performance issue with the servers (which amounts to a bug....)

If you submitted and and it's NOT in pending that's a bug too.....

Last night page 4 of one of my stories gave a 500 error, then a 404. i.e. There are ongoing system issues -- which might be related.
I blame a corrupt index, because I'm anti-corruption

@Aoife_from_Ulster, you might find the story in Published within a day or so.
