The article I found said he paid for the doweries with profits from tailoring and farming and that he never paid less than 18 cows per wife. That's at least 2106 cattle. That's a lot of cattle....

I have to say thank you again Marquis! I read the article. Akuku sounds delightful. And I can only hope my man does so well. (We don't have any cows.) It would also help if his other wife wasn't vanilla.
And I can hardly wait until the next time Master gives me a casual command, so I can reply, "YES, Master Danger!" He'll beat me soooo hard...
