The most remarkable person I've noticed in all the post-disaster coverage is a relief worker who specializes in finding relatives to care for orphaned children. She's working in Indonesia now, where the interviewer from CNN compared the job of family-hunting to finding a needle in a haystack. "You can't think of it that way," she replied, "because no one would look for a needle in a haystack. There would be no hope. There is, though, because I find them."
