By far one of mans more impressive aeronautical engineering achievements. I remember going with the other school kids on base to watch the F-15/16's take of and eeeevery now and then we would get to see some of the super cool birds fly. Like F117's, B2/1's, SR71's, all sorts of experimental aircraft. But the SR's were really impressive, you could always tell when a blackbird was taking off even in the dark....nothing shakes the ground quite like one of these monsters. Not to mention the wide set pair of 40 ft blue flames coming out the rear.
