. . . . . .

Nice story and all, but the purpose of this is... what?

Is this is the beginning of a blog, an online diary or something else?

And why is it on page one?

I don't get the page 1 reference either.

To the thread starter: Nusubgirl recently did a "scene report" and it was fairly well-received, so apparently this sort of thing is common around here--although I sense a bit of predjudice whenever a newbie tries doing something that an oldie-moldie can get away with. Being a newbie toobie, I have no personal problems with you posting your scene report. I was a little disappointed, however because when I read the title of the thread I thought it was going to be about seduction.

Please tell me that you're freakin' kidding me. You don't have "no personal problems" with my posting a scene?? Are you implying people on this forum Do have a problem with me posting a scene? I love the newbie references too...that is rich. Sorry to disappoint on the seduction issue..that actually did enter my mind as well, but I liked it better than Hook 'Em Horns...figured all the ladies wouldn't appreciate the football refererence when there are so many "football widows" at this time of year. Probably why I don't post here too often. Check out my stories if you want a different perspective. Cheers.

I think that the implication was the fact that it was originally posted in BDSM Talk versus Cafe (one is of the more serious nature usually and Cafe is more light hearted). Moderators move threads if they feel they are better suited in one forum versus the other so no worries. Enjoyed reading your experience - I know that someone in this household has been eyeing some of those big arse hooks which is kinda scary. ;)

It (scene reporting threads) isn't quite common around here, nor is it reliant upon how long a person has been posting to the forum. I am sure you will find many new people have had a great reception here, others have gone out of their way to create drama or been mistaken for trolls (sometimes it has proven correct), and as we try and maintain an everyone is equal type mood here, those who appear to step outside that zone are often reminded by their peers they are no better or worse than anyone else here.

Scenes are sometimes discussed in threads in relation to particular topics of discussion, but the story like posting of threads is a new phenomena which seems to have arisen and which if it is a story, is perhaps more suited to the Story Discussion Circle or other writer critiquing forums of Lit...or better still, submit it and link it in the Shameless Plug thread at the top of Cafe so it gets a woder reading. While some like it, others don't and it them creates an issue as Lit has guidelines as to keeping posting in the relevant forum as opposed to creating 20 General Boards on the site. The Talk forum is typically for more serious discussion, asking advice etc., (usually is posted with an invite to discuss thoughts or offer advice from others) while the Cafe is more about fun, loosely related topics and, yes, those threads which might tell a story and not ask anyone for any input...just put it there to supposedly be read. I got the distinct feeling this was one such thread where a story was being told and the poster didn't actually feel the need for advice, thoughts etc., other than their appreciation of (definately not disapproval of) the piece. Perhaps I am wrong but it read like a story to me more than someone discussing a real scene.

Creativity is fine, but what also has to be realised is that if you are posting to a public forum with a multitude of anonymous posters behind PC screens, you have to accept and live with the fact not everyone is going to like everything you say or do all the time and some may express their thoughts on how or what should be happening. It is about making it a forum for all, not just a few, and part of that may just be trying to work within the majority preference for what is and isn't accepted at that time, or live with the POV of those who might not like it. What usually happens then is you post something different the next day or week and it is just as likely to be warmly received....is a matter of individuality and expressing your opinion, thoughts, feelings honestly and hopefully respectfully. Sheesh, if we had hightailed it outta here the first time (or second, third etc) someone disagreed with us, we wouldn't have been here more than a few weeks at best. There are things we would personally gladly discuss here, but it is not something the majority are interested in, so we don't bother posting it here. Let's face it, we are all supposed to be adults capable of acting in an adult way, not packing up our toys and leaving the moment someone does not agree 100% with us.

Sounded totally real to me. Was just commenting that nusubgirl posted something quite similar on the forum, so I didn't think it was verbotem to post your experiences here.

I didn't even notice the forum switch since I read both places and go directly to threads through my subscriptions--which apparently work, even when a thread is moved. Nothing I said was relevant to thread-moving, but thanks for explaining it all anyway.

Aslo, I _still_ don't get the reference to page one. This isn't exactly a magazine?

Wow!....so many rules, my head is spinning. Thank you for making this all clear to me. btw, I don't care if people agree with me or not, most Dom's usually don't, and I've been raked over the coals for a few of my stories....and a strong reaction, even negative ones aren't gonna scare me away with my toys. The scene was quite real and was cut short here to keep it a reasonable length. My lover said she's saved it to her computer to read it over and over, and now it's been moved, so I'll have to send her the new link. To be honest I wasn't aware of BDSM cafe, since I've never posted there.
I promise to try to follow the rules better next time, I hate being scolded publicly on a forum. I'm a bad boy......don't even think about it.

Call it what you like, rules, getting on and blending, being part of instead of apart from the forum.....just trying to clear up what seemed to be puzzling you and a few people. As to not being scared off with your toys because you are Dom, I am pleased but I must have misread this quote from your previous post 'Probably why I don't post here too often. Check out my stories if you want a different perspective.' which seemed to say you had a problem with posting here and/or the people here. BTW, it was not actually directed at you personally, but was a generalisation of the reactoion many people take in similar situations when posting to a public forum. :catroar:

Interesting idea for someone with a medical fetish. If you and your lady enjoy it, gopher baroque.

I thought your experience was interesting.

Personally, I don't care where you post it, but then I am a rebel like that.

Catalina...well I've never had a problem posting here. Meant I have a problem with too many rules in general, with any organization. What's the saying, "Without laws- you have anarchy?"...so I substitute rules for laws. I obey laws(exc. speeding) but pretty much ignore rules until I'm called on it. I suppose if I read the forum more often and posted more often, I'd have known that generally it's for seeking advice or general questions on issues related to the forum. For the most part LIterotica and the people here have been a great place for me. No other site, for posting or reading erotic stories even comes close.

Well it does have it's good points though there is a lot of imitations in what can be submitted in writing and how things operate. I don't unfortunately have a say in what they deem as appropriate in either of those areas, otherwise you might find it would be a lot less censored and cover a broader range, but the site does try and keep some order and do have a difficult time working within US laws enough to not get called on for why they should continue to operate and without legal consequences. It is a crazy world some have to live in, and it doesn't lookmlike getting better anytime soon. :catroar:
