The chickens are stuffed and cooked. The ham glazed. Presents all wrapped and under the tree. Children are sleeping and I am happily sipping at my second cider of the evening.

Now I just have to cook the turkey..... well first I have to stuff the thing then cook it. I've got all the presents done and sitting under my tree. Now I just have to wait another twenty minutes and it will be Christmas Day....

On my third glass of cider now. 12:16 am on Christmas day. My sister said to me, "You can open one Christmas pressie on Christmas day while you wait for me and b/f to arrive from motel", complete with bar fridge and spa pool.
So I opened one pressie just now. It is... drum roll please... "Mars and Venus" by John Gray phD. Relationship skills for lasting love.:D I am now auctioning said book to the highest bidder. All proceeds will be happily donated to the charity of your choice.

FUCK IT, our relationship has made it this far. Five years down the track, living with mum in law, my kids, (boys 13 and 8 since they were 3 and 8) stepkids, 20 (lived with us on and off at my request), 18 year old. (since 14) now 12 year old and have had the other two kids (before 12 year old moved in) every holidays including the whole of the Christmas holidays! Hubby's triple by pass, nearly lost house to bank except I worked every hour I could to keep things going. Side affects from bypass, stress as 19 year old stepdaughter got pregnant and then couldn't cope with baby (Mia) so they shifted in with us and she moved out leaving us with a four month old baby. Thankfully Mia's Dad is an absolute darling. He quit his job and learnt to be a good Dad. Mia now lives with her Dad and visits frequently.So, we have got this far and survived. I love him.
