30's guy for conversation/ friends

Hi and thanks for checking out my thread. I'm just looking for conversation, a chance to get to know some new people. Because, frankly, I could use the practice. Looking for clean, family friendly topics, please.


I'm an early 30's male. Total geek. I love sci-fi, I collect comics. I enjoy movies of pretty much every variety, save horror. I can talk politics, though I won't pretend to be well versed.

Age, gender, and location matter not at all.

Is this sort of like we used to have around the family supper table when I was, oh, 9-15 year old? With Daddy asking about my school day and Mom asking Daddy to fix the chicken coop because the hens were getting out and my cousin telling Daddy that he was almost finished mowing the hay field and we'd be ready to put up the hay in a few days? Like that kind of family friendly topics?

Wow, been a long time. Oh, and you do realize, don't you, that this is a site for erotic literature and, mostly, erotic discussions and such? Erotic ...ya' know?

To your only relevant point: I'm just looking for ordinary, non-sexual topics. I'm not opposed in any way to those topics, but I would rather work on getting to know actual people through conversation like you'd gave anywhere.

As to the rest of your wonderfully insightful commentary, would you believe that in the 10+ years I've been visiting and posting to these boards, I never noticed the subject matter? How dense of me. Thank you for enlightening me! Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

I'm sorry that it came through that way ...I can assure you I was just having some fun, teasing a little bit, that's all. Again, I'm sorry for what seems like a snide remark. Hard to be funny in comments like this. Sorry.
