A little while ago whan I was stalling getting back to work I counted the words in my submissions. Not counting two poems, I have 59 submissions on Lit, totaling over 300,000 words. That's not counting about twenty stories in progress, which would total about 50,000 more words. That seems like a lot. At that rate I will have over half a million by the end of the year. Maybe I should have being writing novels.

It's never too late to start writing novels. I have several in various stages of completion. And if you want to ease yourself into writing longer work, you can always start out with a themed set of short stories. Best of luck!

You might be right about the set of short stories. Most of what I have written,m including a 22,000 novella, concentrate on the sexual adventures of one character.:)
