I have developed a quick and dirty template to get coauthors immediately into the action with a method known as 321. This utilizes all three major perspectives with which I serve as a 3rd person narrator to set the scene and plot points in regard to the male character, a 2nd person narrator to describe the actions in regard to the female character and leave you, the coauthor, to add in the thoughts, feelings, and dialogue of the female lead from a first person perspective.

Example:
3. (I lay out a setting and premise) It's a quiet night in a hotel. A man sits reading a newspaper in the 7th story lounge. The elevator opens up and a young woman steps out, seeing the man, described as xyz.

3b. (Co author describes the woman, soon to be "you") She's a 22 year old coed named suzy in a tube top and hotpants.

2b. (I further the action in the 2nd person) You see the man looking at you and blush. He says "I've been watching you"

1. (You continue in first person) I gulp and nervously say "who the hell are you?"

A woman paces nervously outside her front door. Her home is in an increasingly run down neighborhood and the sun is fading quickly. She has forgotten her keys and her roommate is not picking up the phone. A large dark sedan rolls by. The driver, a 37 year old Russian immigrant with sharp features and a strong jaw wrapped in three day stubble, watches with great interest. Dmitri slowly pulls over and starts to roll down the window.
