There have been several posts on YouTube about the 2026 World Cup with the venues split 11 USA,3 Mexico and 2 Canada with 48 teams. There are going to be problems with the Trump's regime attitude to certain countries with refusing them visas. While the teams and their staffs will automatically get visas to the USA,all their fans who need visas face a gigantic obstacle with the up to 9 month delay in getting one, with no guarantee of approval.Canada and Mexico have stated they will relax requirement for the World Cup.
As for the countries not in Trump's shit list will the fans come?Stories about people being turned away at the US border or detained and deported for no good reason are numerous and widespread.Hard core fans will come regardless but others may hesitate and stay at home.
FIFA is apparently worried about this affect on fan numbers and so are the host cities, and advertisers are reconsidering the amount they are willing to spend if this happens.

You apparently don't know soccer fans. Pretty much, the entire world shuts down during the cup (except here). The question is, when they riot, will the national guard be called? :)

I think enough of the fanatical fans will travel to fill stadiums, regardless of the possibility of being detained or denied entry.

And Americans will buy up available seats too, at least for matches involving the bigger nations. The World Cup is a far bigger deal than the Club World Cup, so interest will be high.

We'll find out when that happens next year.
