If elected, who would you like to see Biden elect to any of these posts?

Attorney General

Chief of Staff

Secretary of Agriculture

" Commerce

" Defense

" Education

" Energy

" Health and Human Services

" Homeland Security

" Housing and Urban Development

" Interior

" Labor

" State

" Transportation

" Treasury

" Veterans Affairs

(Don't forget- you don't want to choose a Senator or Governor that may result losing that seat to the opposition)

Counting chickens - carts before horses. Do not do it. :)

I'd like to see Preet Bharara as Attorney General,

Alexander Vindman as Secretary of Defense

Randi Weingarten as Secretary of Education

Ernest Moniz as Secretary of Energy

Richard A. Clarke as Director of Homeland Security

Dan Costa as Secretary of the Interior

Mark Dimondstein as Secretary of Labor

Steve Linick as Secretary of State

and Tammy Duckworth as Secretary of Veterans Affairs

I think it would actually be good for Biden to name some of the cabinet picks before the election--that he continues to show he'll actually put a functioning government forward.

Ummm Johhnie, he asked who Biden should appoint, not who Trump has....

Attorney General - Stacey Abrams (I just think that it's the suitable post for her to fight voter suppression).

Chief of Staff - Nina Turner...if there is a post from which she could pull Biden leftward, this would be it.

Secretary of Agriculture - Steve Bullock, he's retiring from Governor of Montana, anyway...and he would presumably know the issues with farmlands, grazing, and corporate agribusiness having too much power.

" Commerce - Andrew Yang...what better way to advance commerce than putting cash in consumers' hands. And this guy has run his own business.

" Defense - Dennis Kucinich..because we need someone a bit more concerned with the needs of our troops and less with pushing us to get into another war without first taking care of our current vets and troops.

" Education - Gaston Caperton (former Governor of my native West Virginia, solid guy, great record on education)

" Energy - Tulsi Gabbard (just look at her OFF Act...it's far better than the Green New Deal...the woman seriously wants us off fossil fuel dependency)

" Health and Human Services - Dr. Victoria Dooley...doctor who understands the need for dramatic change in health care.

" Homeland Security - vacant/abolished...this post is really a threat to civil liberties.

" Housing and Urban Development - Andrew Gillum or Keisha Lance Bottoms..because an actual mayor would be a nice change.

" Interior - Jay Inslee

" Labor - Richard Trumka, because it's high time to put in an actual head of a trade union at Labor.

" State - Ron Paul (if we're going to have Republicans in there, why not one who favors peace instead of endless wars)

" Transportation - Ralph Nader or Elon Musk, the one got us seatbelts, the other an electric car.

" Treasury - Robert Reich

" Veterans Affairs - Joe Sestak. As a retired admiral, he seems very fit for the job. I would say Mayor Pete, but Pete probably has the CIA job in mind, anyway.

NO!!!!!

That's who I'd lean towards. He was among the first Donny screwed, so I'm sure he has a box of bones to pick.

Maybe. Another one with a box of bones.

SecInt: A full blooded Native American.

Warren has no background in law whatsoever. And she'd be replaced under a Republican governor. No thanks.

The next cabinet needs to focus on four things:

1. Ending the pandemic crisis.
2. Ending these insane wars.
3. Economic relief for the American working class.
4. Saving what we can of the environment.

What Warren are you talking about? Elizabeth Warren has a law degree from Rutgers Law School and has taught law at several universities, including the University of Houston, the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Pennsylvania, and Harvard University.

Did you mean she doesn't have a criminal law background? Her specialty is bankruptcy law. Pretty relevant for the corruption that needs to be cleaned up once the White House has been fumigated.

This I didn't know. I just hadn't heard of her in any connection having to do with practicing law. In any case, she'd still be replaced by a Republican under Governor Charlie Baker of Massachusetts.

Hmm' - fair observation. A steady hand for defence might help break the GOP's grip on the military vote. Treasury and AG are two more which will impact the vote slightly. I would especially like to see a strong AG with expertise in the prosecution of financial crimes. Someone good enough that the President could remain above and away from the legal fray. There is a particular fellow who specialized in Corporate litigation and prosecution in earlier roles. His name is Merrick Garland. ;)

And if/when the Biden choices are criticized, that opens the door to picking apart Trump's disasterous cabinet choices.

But this may not be fair- Trump only chooses from his loyalist pool, those that never criticize him, and that is a very shallow pool. Dem's pool runs deep.

This also keeps the conversation where it should be- policy differences. If Dem's can't win that comparison, Trump should be reelected.
