The excitement has been building up, the rumours flying like so many passes, but today's the day when we'll see what sort of madness will be unleashed as teams jockey for position.

Will the Browns stay true to form (idiotic) and mortgage their future draft picks and reach for a QB the experts are undecided on in Mariotta?

Is this the draft in which my Giants will select the heir-apparent to Eli or will they look to solidify the OL or even a RB?

Will the Raiders sell LA to get Adrian Peterson from the Vikes?

Stay tuned tonight at 8PM ET.

You can stream the draft live here at NFL.com

Enjoy!

Can't wait.

Also, all this Trading Rivers to the Titans shit is false.

And Tampa doors not need Winston. He is an idiot.
If you choose Mariota with the first pick and he doesn't pan out, at least you made the smart choice.

But they won't. It's Tampa.

I think Mariotta is for real.

Who knows what the Browns will do.

JAX will swap picks with the Faiders, each will get the guy they want, JAX gets a sweet deal.

If the Titans trade their pick, the draft will be a fucking mess.

I really like the idea of holding the draft in a different host city every year.

I can't help but to think that the smart play is to trade out of the first two picks and stockpile down-picks for this and future drafts. Too many questions with Winston and Mariotta.

But I really want to see the Browns sell out for the #2 pick. That franchise can't do anything right and you can just imagine it weighing on them for the next half-decade.

I'm making popcorn. :D

I don't expect the Browns to do anything that would involve picks other than the two picks they have in the first round, so I don't think they would be "mortgaging" anything if they traded up. One reason the Browns like to make deals involving the acquisition of future first round picks is precisely so they can trade up if the opportunity presents itself and they feel it's necessary.

I like Mariota myself, but I don't think he's a "must have at any cost" player. Teams tend to make mistakes when they get tunnel vision involving certain players. You tell yourself what you're willing to give up, and you hold firm to that no matter what.

I'm not going to pretend the Browns have been anything worth writing home about these last 15 years, but some of the piling on I've been hearing is a little over the top. There's a reason they're picking 12th today, which is that there were 11 worse teams in the league last season.

I like it too; they've been doing it in other sports for a while, and I got tired of looking at those beer-gutted Jets maroons in the crowd every year.

But I think the league is concerned about the no-shows for this draft -- they want their biggest rookies there in person. Agents for the top picks are allegedly telling the league that their clients really want the New York stage. This may be a one-year deal.

Dolphins trade down and draft WR from UCF. ( My undergrad school)

I hope....but they will probably fuck it up.

Just passing along a rumour from ESPN's Browns beat reporter, though, given the history of the team's front offices over the past decade - and just last year Farmer took Manziel even as the best QB of that draft, Teddy Bridgewater, was still available, so clearly "reaching" is not an issue - would you be surprised if they offered more than their 2 picks in the first round this year?

18 first round picks since '99 and 3/4 pro bowlers to show for it. Not sure if that's "piling on" or the reality of a team whose miscues somehow transcends multiple GMs and owners. Maybe "snakebitten" is a better descriptive.

In any event, the immediate winner will be the Titans if they trade their pick away for what is likely to be a considerable return.

I think both can be successful starting QBs in this league. From what I've read, next year's QB crop isn't so great.

I think Chip Kelly is desperate to get him and will pay the Titans a fortune to do it.

I have no clue as to whether the Jets are willing to pony up that much money (or players). They may try and package Wilkerson with draft picks to do it if they think Mariotta is a franchise QB.

I absolutely love the draft. The first round is always exciting and full of surprises.

It doesn't matter who The Browns draft, they will only fuck it up. They could draft Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Joe Montana and still only win 3 games a year.

I am high on Mariotta, honestly. I think the guy is solid, calm collected demeanor. He can make all the throws and he can run. Makes good decisions on and off the field.

Winston is this year's JaMarcus Russel.

Or as I once heard him affectionately refer to as JaWalrus Ruffles.

I suppose it's too much to ask for a decent Browns team.

That's an interesting tidbit. Might explain why teams would consider a massive trade to get Winston or Mariotta.

Mariotta will not be a good pro. Winston will be serviceable.

Is that what he said? I'm surprised. He usually doesn't like saying negative things about people.

No, he thinks Mariotta will be great if the team that drafts him allows him to develop.

You, sir, are no Chuckie.

You are ESPN, I'm NFL Network. You cover the day of, I been covering all month. Dig?
