2009 Secret Santa Sent & Received Thread

Opening day is December 18. All gifts, obviously, should have arrived by that day.



It's getting there, folks... everyone should be getting ready to send that package! November 22, our deadline for sending all those Secret Santa gifts, is rapidly approaching, so make sure you are ready to go.

This is the place where I'll be recording who has sent and who has received their packages. You can also give little updates on how your gifting is going - remember to give nothing away though! If you run into any trouble with finding or sending your gift, please PM me to let me know right away, since I want to be sure everyone will have a gift waiting for them on our opening day.

Bolded means they have sent their package. Red means you have received it. Hope that isn't too complicated. I do like my formatting.

I'll be a day late as the 22nd is a sunday, but it'll ship monday no problem, priority mail to get there in plenty of time.

Was on a walkbout and found myself here. Wondering what this is all about? Or maybe I shouldn't know... but it's not as if I "snuck" in here univited, though uninvited I might be.

It's something we've done here for the last few (well, quite a few now) years. Some kind soul starts a thread and volunteers to co-ordinate and then others of us show interest in taking part and send our details to the co-ordinator.

Then a list is drawn up and everyone is assigned a number. We pick a number and that number is the person we need to send a gift to. Everyone picks a number, so everyone gets to send a gift to someone else and everyone gets something sent back to them.

Then we pick a date in December to open our gifts and have a lovely day oohing and aahhing over what everyone else has got as well as enjoying our own little special gift.

It's fun.

I was all set to get mine out on time, then I saw it was Sunday and thought 'Oh, one day won't hurt.' But Mondays I am busy pretty much all day long, so it'll be mailed on Tuesday. 'That'll be fine,' I thought. 'Prolly lots of people in that fix.'

Then I got my package delivered in today's mail.

Man, Santa's got some efficient helpers this year, I gotta tell ya. hehehe
