I just had a total Mangasm over that car, today. Mmmmmm.... 505 hp.
If I could trade mine in for that............OMG :p

Intervention! Don't you know Corvettes and Maxima's are for the 50+ crowd" Years, not income. :D Years ago I toured the Corvette factory in Kentucky.

Been eyeing BMWs (used) myself and will probably buy within the month. My son will get my car. Nice excuse to buy, huh? :)

Mangasm *LOL*

I'm so girly -I don't get cars. My mum is big into cars, or at least was, she's a total tom boy.

You were simply mature beyond your years (in a good way). :) Cool tour, huh? I actually still have a ruler they gave away on the tour that I still use - it's got to be 20 years old.

Went with part of a vette club.....a friend of mine got to start one. Cool for sure. :p
My son just sold his '65 convertible/removable hardtop.

Ford's Shelby GT500KR has over 600bhp and doesn't look like they raided Ferrari's design studios.

"Mangasm"....first time I ever saw that...chuckles...good one Joe.

Hmmm...dunno, being who I am, if I can even get this said...

Made a comment somewhere about women entering the car buying market and women choosing more masculine, 'stubby butted' designs as pleasing to them, while I prefer the soft feminine curves of the Jaguar and Austin Healy, Maserati and Ferrari, all emphasizing the voluptuous female.

I 'felt' something in perusing the video and the images of the new Corvette you are mangasming over, still the soft feminine curves, but something more....

Don't even know how to communicate this...consider the new, 'empowered' female, La Femme Nikita, Point of no Return, American version with Bridget Fonda, "Kill Bill" one and two, even the "E-surance" ad for auto insurance, the soft feminine curves of the past have taken on a mean, evil, dangerous and nasty, aspect, which I found expressed in some of the views of the new Corvette.

A more, 'aggressive' femininity....? Or am I just paranoid and delusional?

Chuckles...

Amicus...

To me the new corvettes are looking more and more like the Vipers of old.

I'll stick with my 72 Cuda with my own hand built big block and trans am package.

Not to mention the other little tweaks I've put on it.

446 cid 825 hp and I never got a torque figure. we broke the sensor on the dyno twice. :D

Actually, I always thought the Vette was tantamount to driving around town in an erect penis.

I do agree, Ami, that sports cars have become more feminine in their appeal - or at least androgynous. This new one looks too much like the BMW Z4 in profile, for my tastes.

I gotta admit, I love the use of that song from Ferris Bueller's Day Off. :D

(but I'd still rather have a new Camaro than a Corvette, sorry)

My tools wouldn't fit in the boot.

Where do the kids go?

A Landrover on the other hand...

I'm still waiting for them to release the new Camaros and Firebirds so that I can upgrade my V6 to a V8 Trans Am.

You know it is funny......

Whenever I see anyone with a "big dick" car... (vette, Porche, etc.) I assume the person driving it is an asshole with a some kind of insecurity issue....

But at the same time, I just know I would look cool driving one!

I drive on the autobahn a lot...... and even there, there are relatively few times and places when one can (safely) open up these cars... In America, it is just ridiculous.

I went 25 years without a ticket and got 2 within a week of taking delivery of my Taurus SHO...... I loved the car but went back to driving something that did not tempt me as much.

I cannot imagine what the hell you can do with a 600 hp anything in the states on public roads... more than once.
