A good friend of mine has organized this project to help out a friend, Heather. Last year, right after Christmas, she was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. Whilst she has medical insurance through her job, she does *NOT* have prescription coverage. The medication which has kept her alive and with us is killing her financially.
Way back in January my friend had a zany idea to raise money to help Heather pay for her medical bills. A lot of really wonderful people have helped make that zany idea real and along the way helped her come up with OTHER zany ideas to do the same thing. They started a group on LiveJournal, called lime_suckers and tried to get this idea off the ground.
Basically, a bunch of them got naked to help our friend. Cause fuck it. Sex sells and so long as Heather stays healthy and doesn't go broke, they don't much give a shit who looks at them naked. A bunch of other people thought the same way they do, and now we have a calendar coming out.

All kinds of shapes and sizes. Something for everyone. The one thing in common is they're trying to help Heather.
ALL the proceeds go directly to Heather. We don't see a nickel of it.
I felt strongly that if I cared about Heather, and didn't want her to go broke then it was my job to do something to help. You can too, and I'm not even asking you to get naked. Just order a calendar. That link up there will show you how. If you don't want to order one, that's cool too- there's a way to make a donation without an order. If you have a shop, a store, a place to sell a few? You can order them in bulk. We can take international orders. And if calendars aren't your thing, then after the first of the year the Limesuckers will be coming out with *other* products- ALL of them going to help Heather.
Heather has undergone chemotherapy and radiation treatments and, as of this writing, we don't know if her tumor is actually gone. But the medical bills keep rolling in, much faster than her salary can cover them.
They're naked so Heather doesn't go broke. So buy a calendar. Or five. Or just donate. Or buy pottery from Heather- she can finally make things again after not being allowed to touch any clay during the course of her treatment. But help us help Heather. We love her. And none of us want to see her win her fight against cancer, only to be held under crushing debt for the rest of her life just to stay alive.
And for those that might be curious, once the soft goals are met, Heather's financial situation will be reassessed. If it is determined that she no longer needs aid, all future funds will be donated to her local cancer center to help others that are in her situation.
