We'll try this again. The holidays are over, thank God, and I'm ready to shed a few extra pounds.

This is a 3 month program, and then we'll start another in April if there are any participants left. Maybe we can keep it going past July this time.

So start when you are ready, but there are only 90 days in the cycle.

Hi. I'm new to the literotica forums, but I could definitely use anything that might help me lose weight.

Could someone please explain (or direct me to the thread that explains) what the challenge is all about?

Ok I am in however can I start on the 9th. My BD is on the 6th and I have a big fat Italian/Greek wedding on the 8th. Oh and uh what do I have to do?

I'm starting mine on Monday.

I have a *HOT* date tonight and we're going out to eat cajun.

What are the rules?

I think I actually lost weight over the Christmas holidays - mainly because my hunger dropped and I at best was managing 2 meals a day. Christmas I ate one meal and only a half plate.

I think I lost 1 or 2 lbs - not enough to be too worried about. Stress makes me eat less.

You are welcome to share what works for you, but everyone is different and has there own ways of doing things. Like if Etoile joins us again. She doesn't eat meat. Literally or figuratively.

I'll do something along the line of South Beach in the beginning. Which only restricts certain carbs. The good ones, mainly. Thank goodness I like green beans, lettuce and broccoli. And eggs, fish, turkey, and chicken.

I'm in, if no one minds. I actually am at or slightly less then my pre-pregnancy wieght, but I eat when I'm stressed and I've been really, really stressed. So here I am.

I've done well with WW points in the past, so I'll probably do that again. I think a good long range strategy for me is to drastically cut down on refined sugars. I may not loose much weight but I think I will be healthier.

Can I join too?? Need to lose nother 5,6 kgs till summer:)

i'm in...I already started a couple weeks ago. I tyr to get to the gym daily....

I may pop in and out of here, but my rules are weird.

I have some health issues that pretty much put the kibosh on wheat and refined sugar intake -- for me this is like taking away a smoker's cigs. I will probably come in here jonesing for pasta.

my excercise is limited right now till I'm feeling well enough again, but that should only be another 2-3 weeks then I have to start walking.

Starting Monday here too. I gave up on WW after a while; the $15/month I was paying for the online services wasn't worth it. I've been using FitDay to keep track of calories, nutrients, and weight.

I also started a diet blog, for those of you into that kind of thing:

Thanks to WD for the heads-up on this thread!

Thanks for the links! I gave up on WW too *sigh* I think it might have been because I hate writing down everything that goes in my mouth.

Ok... No rules. Be true to thy self and have fun with this, right?

I've joined WW because I enjoy their points system and do well with that. It's a good think I love fish, chicken, and veggies. :)

Good luck everyone!! We can be healthier! :rose:

I'm in ...

starting Monday

Going to start excersing, keeping a log and I'm just not sure what else.

Good Luck everyone

Outside of weighing and taking a few measurements, I had a pretty good first day. The hard part will be not peeking until next Sunday morning.

I think the WW points system is great for people it works for. I lost 30+ pounds on the Winning POINTS plan. Unfortunately I gained it all back and I've been on a plateau ever since, which is why I decided a couple of weeks ago to go off WW for a while. If I need it back, I'll sign up again, but for now I'm hoping counting calories will work for me.

I had a similar problem with it, it especially seemed like the first few weeks I was thinking about nothing other then food, it was driving me nuts. My husband found it hilarious though one time when I came home from work starving and complined about the neighbors cooking (we lived in an apartment building at that time). He had a giggle or two over that one.

So....on literotica do yu really want to write a sentance about keeping track of things that go in your mouth? :D

They have a new core plan now, which controls calories by following a Core List of Food without tracking. You can eat as much of the Core Foods as you need to feel satisfied.
You still have some points that you can use for the week, which allows breads or juice as well as treats, like chocolate. The Core List of Food is pretty good. Could be interesting. :)

Yup, I've seen the core plan several times; I never did transition into it from Flex points (which is what was after winning points, which came after 123Success...). My main problem with it was the "eat when you're hungry, stop when you're satisfied" rule. I eat when I'm bored, when I'm depressed, etc. So I don't think the Core plan would work for me.

I started diet today will hopefully start karate wednesday( i have an appt then). Hoping to get fit and lose weight at the same time.

Good luck everyone :)

By the way i ate a salad today and fruit for lunch and it about near killed me...lol hoping tomorrow is easier :)

The thing is to make sure you don't cut back too much. Anything below 1200 calories per day is right out as it will not be enough to keep the body from going into hoarding any calories and you'll end up starving yourself.

I try to aim for the 1600/day. That seems to work for me.

I've started a little journal in wordperfect. Not an eating one, but more of a workout journal, and once a week weigh in on Sunday morning.
