According to this study, it's all good.
What did you find?
BK: We found 96 studies across a range of disciplines. Some are in economics. Some are in psychology. Some are in medicine. Some are in public health.

Melanie Zaber: We wanted it to be research that actually measured something. There were a number of more qualitative or theoretical or legal arguments that we excluded.

BK: What I found most notable is that all of the studies drew the same conclusions: There was either no effect or beneficial effects on any outcome you could look at. That’s 20 years of research, 96 studies, and no harms.

You can't have a gay divorce until they are married.

Imagine that, lawyers found another way to double dip sheeple!

I guess you can find a lawyer to officiate a wedding, but that’s not what they necessarily do. I think your criticism is for your state government earning a fee from a union. So your issue is with states rights? Regardless, I am putting you in the category of for same-sex marriage and I know that you’ll be voting for Joe Biden to ensure that right going forward. 👍 because those wannabe alpha ammos you pal around here with certainly don’t wish for you like I sincerely do that you find a 6 foot tall, gay black male who can give you 10 inches of BBC on a nightly basis.

As recently as 2008, Vetteman (now d/b/a "Rightguide") was applauding the string of gay marriage defeats in state legislature. Anyone who has been here for a long while should remember him lecturing us that government sanction of gay marriage would be the harbinger of the decline of America.

So the study sets the metrics, picks the researchers and they edit its foregone conclusion.

Studying marriage in a twenty-year window? Why not 21 at least...?

Wouldn't that be a generational thing?

I can see the headlines...

After 20 years of Gay Marriage, Gay Divorce Rates Skyrocket!
Just 20 years ago, they were zero!

There are some lesbian weddings in porn, but gay marriage has been mostly ignored there. The industry passed it by and went for incest, superheros in slavery, and similarly silly stuff. It's a neglected field, due to lack of taboo and maybe also the expense of shooting anything close to a standard wedding.

AJ, Do you remember what you claimed 12 years ago?
Because RobDownSouth remembers!

You claimed that legalizing gay marriage would inevitably lead to polygamy, bestiality, marrying "inanimate objects" and that "multiple wives" would lead to a tremendous surge in Muslim immigration, in numbers that would make Christians the "minority religion" in America.

Since then, I've seen zero evidence of any traction on the first step of your slippery slope (polygamy).

Are you man enough to admit you were wrong yet?
