20 Degrees This Morning

The temp here in Tampa is 20 degrees at 5am.

Had a dentist appointment at 7am. Was out by 7:20. By then the sun was up and got to see all the frost on everything. Was really cool....actually was really cold.

OK. Enough of the cold stuff. I've had my fill.

35°F here this morning.

I feel your pain.

Bit cooler here today. Seacat, your sweat would be safe. It's only 92 (I converted it, just for JBJ :D)

Spain is the coldest place I've ever been, and I spent a winter in Germany and Illinois. I didnt think it was possible to be colder than Illinois, but Spain takes the prize.

JBJ...that low temperature must mean the smoke pots are going in the Orange orchards and most likely produce prices will rise nationwide.

On the road in 1969, I stopped off at a University in Tampa and interviewed students as man walked on the moon for the first time...sent the piece off to several newspapers in the area and to the NY Times....but I was on the road and had no mailing address...never did know if it was put to print.

Hope your cold spell is short...

They cant use smudge pots or fires anymore...the snow birds whine too much.

Really? I was not aware of that. So much for purchasing Florida Orange juice this coming year, hope the snowbirds are content...

The snowbirds have killed much of the agriculture around here. They move next to a dairy to see cows, then complain about cow farts.

Projected to go over 100 degrees here in Sydney tomorrow.

It got up to 41.7Celsius (107 F) in Northern Sydney at 5 pm Saturday. Then a Southerly change came through and it dropped to 24 Celsius ( 75F) in less than 15 minutes. Seems chilly now.:)

I know about the heat--walked up from the Opera House along the upper botanical garden trails--but I wasn't out for the drop. Felt it, though, when we came out of the Athenean Greek restaurant (on Barracks--highly recommended--I've lived in Greek Cyprus and this restaurant seems authentic).

Hunter Valley wining tomorrow.

I could definitely live in Sydney as long as I had a place with a view of the harbor--and every place seems to have that.
