2 story ideas

My first story idea revolves around Star Trek species Vulcans, I hope most of you heard of them. Well, every seven years male Vulcans suffer from pon farr, a condition of neurochemical dissbalance in which they have to mate or die
what I wish someone would write is human girl/vulcan guy (who "suffers" pon farr). They somehow get stuck together on an abandoned planet or something else you come up with (the reason is not so important) and you know what happens The girl can be scared and act submissive. I've been looking for het stories between human female/vulcan male but there is mostly slash fan fiction.

The second story idea is about a modern woman who gets sent back in the time of ancient Rome. A Roman soldier finds her and...he takes her back to the camp (or somewhere else) with him. I have no idea what happens next. That's up to you authors.

Heh, you mean a better version of the botched scene in "Star Trek III: the Search for Spock" where they were mimicking E.T. that could have been so much better?

The problem is that I know only the surface-knowledge of Star Trek and probably wouldn't be able to satisfy hardcore fans in that regard.

Wait...was that how Spock was conceived?? I know he had a human mother....

That's been done in Romance novels...I've read that. It's just unrealistically fuzzy.

Anyone taking on this story had better have some knowledge of the field of biology.

For one, Vulcans have an evolutionary reason why they don't have sweat glands.

For another, they can't smell or taste quite as well as humans do...interesting contrast there.

For yet another, Vulcans are copper-based in their blood, not iron-based as humans are. It's how they derive oxygen from the atmosphere to breathe (and they do have larger lungs as a result since copper is not as efficient at binding oxygen as iron is). Ergo, their blood is green.

Now...if red-blood-based males have dark, flushed, reddish cock and balls during times of arousal...um...what does that say for the color of Vulcan genitalia?

It says that their genitalia is of dark greenish color

I totally do.
I love Star Trek and Vulcans but I'm not a hard core fan, I know they have green blood but I had no idea they have retracted penises :S as I said, I'm not a hard core fan so we can pretend that their penises are not retracted
If you want to know more about Vulcans read Diane Duane's Spock's world, she did them more justice than TV series, she described them more realisticly.
Anyway, if you want to write the story, you write it the way you think it's the best.

If you're not a hardcore fan, then the bit of research I've been doing should be sufficient for a basic erotic story.

I've already got 200 words down and I have a simple premise I like, so I think this is one of those "quicky one-shots" that come out every now and then between my longer stories...

This'll be fun. I'll let you know when it's been submitted. It'll show up in "Sci-Fi & Fantasy" (as if it could be anywhere else....)

I've done just enough research to be comfortable, got the premise set up and some of the logistics worked out.

Got the opening, 1500 words before work today, not bad.

Hopefully I'll have this done in a few days.

True, good point...except that in this case I'm making up my own characters from scratch, there won't be an actual "Spock" or any other named Vulcan in the Star Trek canon. Which, to me, means I'm writing in a known setting, not about a Celebrity....so the Sci-Fi section still seems to work best.

2200 words, and an update to say that while Vulcan logic puzzles are a lot of fun (they won't let you make any ill-considered motivations for the sake of drama, let me tell you!!), it's also going to be a wee bit longer in length than I thought by necessity. These'll be fully developed characters, which are never a quick story (means I'll be lucky to finish it this weekend).

Hope you don't mind. I can say that I like my human and Vulcan, though. They're both good people but are going to be in a bad straight here real soon.

I usually choose "working titles" at the least while I'm writing, so yes, I do. Given how the first 3000 words have gone and how the theme has developed, I'll probably keep it as the final title: "Calculated Risk"
