Remember the East Palestine train derailment? The Biden/Harris administration sure doesn't. Since Ohio has been voting Republican lately, the residents of the region have been largely ignored by the federal government. It took months before a high-level official visited the region, and the administration blew off concerns about the health effects of a massive plume of poisonous gas released by the government intentionally blowing up the dangerous chemicals.

Nothing in the article describes events on the ground. Personnel are there providing support. Aid is being delivered including shelter, water and ready made meals. Many other state national guard are either there or on their way there.

Shit is gonna suck for a while.....that is why it's a disaster area.

To paraphrase Woody Allen’s famous quote, eighty percent of leadership (and politics) is showing up. For all his “common man” conceits, Biden never learned the wisdom of presence. Kamala Harris doesn’t appear to have a clue about it either.
Trump, on the other hand, understands presence as a political value. He didn’t show up in East Palestine by mistake, and the lack of response from Biden and Harris gives him a great opportunity to provide a contrast in leadership. Flying aid into the area will give those on the ground a real boost in morale, not to mention address the real needs of those in the devastated region, incrementally at least.
Biden, meanwhile, just got back to the White House after spending the hurricane at Rehoboth Beach on vacation. Where’s Harris? She’s cutting short a campaign visit to Nevada to go back to Washington DC. Neither one will go to the disaster area until later in the week, the White House says, to avoid disrupting the emergency response. When George W. Bush did that after Hurricane Katrina, the press pilloried him for his lack of presence. Keep an eye on the Protection Racket Media’s narratives in this disaster.

FEMA being there is BAD NEWS

Like most of the Biden administration, Job One at FEMA doesn't have anything to do with emergency response:

FEMA’s stated goals include, first, instilling “equity as a foundation of emergency management,” and second, to “lead whole of community in climate resilience.” The goal to “promote and sustain a ready FEMA and prepared nation” ranks third under an administration obsessed with promoting identity politics at every level of the federal bureaucracy. When President Joe Biden was sworn into office, one of his first appointments was former White House National Security Adviser Susan Rice to lead the Domestic Policy Council. She was tasked with requiring agencies make “rooting out systemic racism” a focal point of their mission.
