hi there I've written and submitted my first horny story and it's still pending - apprently it should be available by now as it's being over 72hours ???

can you help me??

It does take longer than that sometimes... it's nothing to worry about. You just have to be patient a little while longer. Good luck :)

I can help you. Just chill. They get lots of submissions, so it might take a bit. I've waited nearly a week before. My story was posted and all was well. I assure you, that nothing short of rejection will stop them from posting your story.

Welcome to the AH
Stories can take up to a week to post sometimes and because there is a valentines day contest on at the moment, there could be a delay. Don't worry too much about it. It will be up soon I'm sure and then the real fun begins. ;)

Make sure you post a link to the story in your sig once it has posted. It makes it easier for people to find.

Good luck and again, welcome :rose:

Try to relax. As Blacksnake said, they're actually running a bit slow and it can take up to about five or six days instead of three. Remember, they just had a Valentine's Day contest and that ups the number of submissions in the queue.

::relax and chill::

Thankyou all...I will try and chill out and relax but patience ??? isn't my strong suit, but as my boyfriend say, "I will just have to learn". It isn't easy though, I hope they like it and post it. Rejection does worry me a little.

But more importantly, I hope those reading my 1st story will like it. I am always open to objective critisim, as it's the only way to learn and better yourself.

cheers ;-)

The temptation to jump a virgin is just too great to resist.

Hello Luscious_lips, welcome to Lit.

Never open yourself to 'objective criticism' and never depend on people liking what you do or not.

Either you have a story to tell, something to say, or you do not. Write it, show it to others if you wish(post it) and then go on to the next thing.

Never, ever, take the opinion of others into consideration. Run your own flag up the pole and if they salute, fine.

to join the bandwagon... welcome to lit

I agree and disagree with amicus.... nothing beats good constructive objective criticism.. take all you can get.... BUT DON'T LET IT BOTHER YOU. If you don't agree with it... IGNORE IT.

If their view points help you... then pay attention... but it is YOUR story, your characters and your writing. In the end.. it is YOU who must do the writing. Do it your way and only listen to opinions when it helps you and never ever let them scare you off. Do it your way.

luscious lips: i don't believe anybody's mentioned it previously, but if you submitted your work as a file, rather than copying & pasting into the form, it will take longer i understand. my last story was submitted using c&p and it took 7 days before it was up.

that, of course, is in conjunction w/ the contest submission timing thing that others mentioned. :>

The waiting... is the hardest part. But good things come to those who wait!
best wishes!
