Just because nobody thought of it first!!

Ok, boys and girls, Masters and slaves, listen up! It has come time to dig deep into your wallets, and come up with some cash your Johnny Mayberry, a singularly delightful human being in need. My birthday is coming up next month, and I am trying to scrape up enough cash to buy a REAL guitar by then. I thought long and hard, and considered lots of fundraising options: saving money, selling old crappy guitars, getting a second job, begging my parents, etc. Finally, I stumbled across a brilliant idea!

I'm gonna ask all of you to chip in and help me buy it!

Here's the way I see it. There are probably 50-75 regular posters to this board. It is 5 weeks before my birthday. If you each contribute a dollar a week, I can afford this:http://www.fender.com/new_repository/fender_guitars/images/0139402_md.jpg

Now, on teh other hand, if you can all donate the measly sum of $3 a week, I can afford this:

Can you give a brother a hand?!?

Disclaimer: I don't actually expect anyone to give me money. However, if you live in NC, VA, or SC, and would like to purchase my old guitar and amp, let me know.

Much better charity than that whining Sally Struthers thing... cheaper too! Cash, check or plastic?

Try going through your stuff and finding things that would sell on Ebay.

I'm not one for randomly doling out cash, but I'd be happy to pay generously for your services for a few hours ;) .

That's the best offer I've had all day!

Great! You can start with the laundry, then get to work on the floors and dishes. Oh, and please don't forget the dust bunnies under the bed. :D

JM. *grin* After all, the accountant can't

conflict of interest. LOL.
