So, I've got a week before I get back to school and my brain is DYING from all the inactivity and lazing about.

Spot the difference! They're no identical, but looking at how many similar phrases turn up in both, one or both of these people is lying through their virtual teeth. Considering the other ad's been around since February and this one hasn't, I'm guessing this is the fictional one.

Why should either of them be lying? I agree the two adverts are similar, but is it not possible that both are from the same person? Yes, OK, different nyms - but it's quite possible that the person. And quite possibly a person who forgot the password for their account and opened another.

I agree that it's possible that they're lying, and it's possible that it's some troll trying to lead people into a little trap, but... if you think so all you need to do is not fall for it. Accusing someone of lying - particularly someone who may be young and vulnerable, isn't necessary.

Similar is fine, probably natural as well because people see other ads and take ideas from them, but the near-identical phrasing and the fact that littlefool, author of the original post, also posted today mean I don't think it's the same person. The thing is, I am smart/jaded (pick your favourite) enough to not put too much faith in an ad being completely true - I got suckered once before and it was bad enough that I now have to take everything with a ten-ton pinch of salt - but other people aren't (not least because they may simply not have read both ads).

I'd be happy to be proven wrong in this case. I just don't think I am.

Hey, I'm as cynical as the next man. The internet is full of trolls, tricksters, liars, fantasists and scammers. These adverts may - or may not - be the product of such. The point I was making is not that the advert might be real, but that publicly attacking a poster claiming to be a young woman may have negative consequences for that person (if they are what they claim); silently ignoring it does not.

In other words you may be a cynic, but you don't have to be a smart arse.

They'd also have skin thinner than an average piece of toilet paper to be offended. Also, do I really seem a person who cares about being offensive? Screw that.
