Hi Folks. Well... it's been a very long time since I last dipped my ...um... toe in the wonderful world of Literotica, but it's great to be back and see that things are just as lively and interesting as ever, especially on the Authors' threads.

It's kinda hard to believe that it's 18 years since I wrote my first solo Literotica short story "With Age Comes Experience". At the time it got good feedback and it looks like people still come across it (ahem) now and again.

I was urged to expand it into a novel... so I did. Only thing was, it took me 16 years of "on/off" work to finish it and a further two years to fully edit it and get it published. (In the end I opted for Amazon Kindle and Paperback - well - everyone else is doing it!). It went live yesterday.

So I've been a submissive slave to that story for 18 years! I have published other work in the meantime, but oh boy... why did it take so long?!

Two questions:

1) Has anybody else had a story that's taken such a lengthy gestation?

2) What am I going to do now that it's out there?

It's good to be back.)

Nabokov took twelve years to write "Lolita," and he wrote for a living. You're in good company.

1) Has anybody else had a story that's taken such a lengthy gestation? Not I, but good things are worth waiting for.

2) What am I going to do now that it's out there? Obviously, start work on a sequel. ;)

Hope the novel does well, BTW.

Hmmm.... Kindle and erotica, I assume it's an erotic novel, if not then ignore this, don't get along very well. Kindle attempts to hide indie erotica from prospective readers. I do understand why you chose them as you can get a hard copy of your novel to hold in your hand, etc. Just don't be to disappointed with the results.

If this novel isn't erotic, then good luck and I hope it does well.
