You have a few directions you could go. Mom gets out of tough relationship and takes her adult daughter with her on a vacation to decompress/celebrate/mourn the ending of her marriage.

I think it's a great story idea. I especially like that it was your mom who pushed for the more daring look. Maybe that sparks a little competition between the two, with each upping the ante seeing how they can tempt, tease and maybe please the men (or women) they encounter during the vacation.
