Don't recognize the name but :( shit this damn droid

This might help. New Mad Season.

Saw AIC and Screeming Trees in L.A. Layne had broken his foot and rocked the stage in a wheelchair. So dope.

Wow, has it really been 11 years? I remember the moments I heard of both Kurt Cobain and Layne Staley's deaths very vividly. Very sad. Such a waste. :rose:

Shannon Hoon's death was another sad one for me. Also Bradley Nowell. I wasn't a huge Sublime fan, but I looooved his voice.

Saw the Trees and Alice with Mudhoney and Nirvana circa 1989 at an old firehouse converted into a concert venue in North Seattle (Note to Indie: not the one in Ballard, the one closer to Northgate, it's been gone forever). Got so drunk, I pulled my pants down and peed in the middle of a crowd. Also had footprint shaped bruises on my back after falling into the mosh pit.

The opening bands were Forced Entry, Hammerbox and Beat Happening. Was golden age of grunge. Probably the best lineup at any show I saw outside of a few shows in Olympia at the North Shore Surf Club that also had a few K Records bands, in addition to lesser known labels.

He was the first musician I ever saw score in real life.

P.S. Really Laurel? Blind Melon?

:(

I kinda like the song with the bumble bee video. So there. :D

I used to drive to my night job listening to AIC and Korn (on a compact disc! like an animal!). Really heavy music was so perfect at that time of night. I always had a soft spot for Korn because they're total loser weirdos from Bakersfield who somehow became rock stars and I think that's rad. Plus they rock live. Even with his oxygen tank freakiness. Or maybe because of it.

Memories.

Hammerbox was damn good.
