10mm or .357Sig

Important decisions like this should be left to the ammosexuals of the General Board: Messrs. Richard Daily, Botany Boy, and snugglestruggle.

.357 (revolver?)

While I love the 10 mm, ammo cost makes the .357 a better deal and ballistics are not that different. While the I would want the 10 mm if I had to shoot a bear (slightly more energy) the .357 is just fine for self defense.

I have a .357 S&W revolver, I was thinking the Sig Sauer automatic. But, I don't have a 10mm, so that may sway me.

LOL at self defense...its a play toy, pure and simple

At the end of the day I would be a real man and get a 45

1911 or if you wanted a carry then the colt defender. Sure you only get 8 shots but who needs more?

I like the knock down of the 45 but, every since the 10 mil came onto the scene, it has had my interest.

I actually agree. I have always loved the idea of the 10. It is rare, it is unique, it is a great round.

So many people have talked me out of it, I guess I have just listened. Which is rare......

But just as a play toy...hell I may still get one..

By ammosexual Rob means not a totally ignorant emotional sack of snot following the 'weapons of war' narrative the dumb ass's on the left are pushing.

Why do you sexualize guns so much Rob?

May be a coin flip.

I'd go 10mm.

Glock 20 is a pretty hoss hand cannon.

I am still sucker for a revolver. Have both pistol and a revolver. Never ever had any problems from the revolver. Every once in a blue moon the pistol will jam...Just takes one shot, no matter how many it will hold. As my Dad always says " Do it right the first time, don't do it half ass and have to do it again":D

Either way....

Do you feel lucky Punk?

Well do you punk?

.357

Always .357.

You never know when you have to shoot an intruder... hiding behind the refrigerator... in your neighbor's house.

Get the .357 and wait for the gun manufacturers to turn it up to 11mm...

.357

Always .357.

I laughed out loud I couldn't explain to the other people in the doctor's waiting room what I was laughing about it seem like not really the place.

Either one is a decent choice.

The .357 (really a hotrod 9mm on a necked-down .40 Short-n-Weak case) is probably s bit cheaper to shoot and more commonly found.

Which may be more reason to lean to the 10mm.

Or maybe because I want a 10 after I get another .45.

A toy or self-defence

5 shot .45Colt or .410Shotshell

Use .410s with custom load of birdshot so as not to put holes in neighbours fridge.

Enjoy paying your attacker's personal injury bill after you shoot him full of birdshot and his lawyer gets through with you.

If you absolutely need to tuck a shotgun into your pants, it might as well be a 12 gauge.

Personally, I find shotguns difficult to conceal.

Now this is a sensible self-defence weapon. Probably a blast to shoot tin cans with. Concealable, lots of work done to stop snagging on clothes. Ammo is cheap and available. Probably loud as fuck. A good thing when shooting at bad guys. Who are notorious cowards.
