Yes Don the Con, as he has been called so many times, Just entered his 101st Week of interesting times. Can he hold it together, the threats to his manhood, his (Pfff) Honor? Or will he fall apart like a cheap suit?

It doesn't start well.
Government will shut down in fight over Trump’s border wall

The U.S. government was to begin a partial shutdown at midnight on Friday after Republican senators failed to muster the votes needed to approve $5 billion that President Donald Trump wants for a border wall fiercely opposed by Democrats.

Trump sought to blame Democrats, who responded by reminding him that he said last week he would be “proud” to shut down key parts of the federal government in order to get funding for a wall on the U.S. border with Mexico.

“President Trump has thrown a temper tantrum and now has us careening toward a ‘Trump shutdown’ over Christmas,” Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer said on the Senate floor.

“You’re not getting the wall today, next week or on January 3rd, when Democrats take control of the House,” Schumer added.

The possibility of a government shutdown fed investor anxieties and contributed to another down day for U.S. stocks on Friday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.82 percent, the S&P 500 lost 2.06 percent and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 2.99 percent.

More than half of the 1,700 people who work for the executive office of the president would be “furloughed,” meaning they would be put on temporary leave.

Lumpy Dumpling in his own sauce, Ha hah hah ha!:D

Trump ‘hates’ Mattis letter and rages about news coverage suggesting he needs ‘adult day care’: CNN

On Friday, CNN’s Jim Acosta revealed that President Donald Trump was enraged by the language in Defense Secretary James Mattis’ resignations letter.

Mattis submitted his letter of resignation to the president after he made a hasty decision to withdraw troops from Syria.

He added that Trump hates the media coverage “even more.” Acosta said that Mattis and other people like White House Chief of Staff John Kelly were often perceived as the adults in the room.

“They were the adults in the room along with Jim Mattis to keep the president from going overboard, and so the president once again irritated by this notion here in Washington that he is sometimes is in need of adult day care,” he said.

Oh Shit! Feel the Burn! On prime time CNN pours salt on the weeping sore that is DJT. :D

‘They’re going to absolutely crush him’: Trump is reportedly panicking and ‘losing it’ as Democrats finally gain the upper hand

“He’s losing it,” a former White House official told Gabriel Sherman of Vanity Fair. “He doesn’t know which way to turn.”

Sherman notes that, when it initially appeared Trump was happy to abandon his ultimatum, right-wing media figures turned against him. That truly spooked the president, who reversed himself and unleashed days of chaos.

“Trump didn’t understand these are the people who stand on Fifth Avenue when he shoots the bullet,” the ex-official told Sherman.

Ding Dong Don, battered by the right of his party and, well, everybody else.:) He'll have trouble getting it up now!:)

How Trump played Pence: Budget negotiation deal reveals president’s humiliation of his own VP

While President Donald Trump bounced all over the place on Twitter and in public over a budget deal to avoid a government shutdown, Vice President Mike Pence quietly worked behind the scenes to get Republican and Democratic leaders to agree on a deal — only to have Trump humiliate him by blowing it up.

Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn (R-TX) expressed consternation that a deal couldn’t be arrived at, saying of the volatile President, “That was my belief at the time. That was my belief at the time based on all the representations made. But as you know, things change.”

According to the report, Trump’s repudiation of the deal left McConnell “steaming.”

That is your President!

This morning I phoned my friend, the former Republican member of Congress.

ME: So, what are you hearing?

HE: Trump is in deep sh*t.

ME: Tell me more.

HE: When it looked like he was backing down on the wall, Rush and the crazies on Fox went ballistic. So he has to do the shutdown to keep the base happy. They’re his insurance policy. They stand between him and impeachment.

ME: Impeachment? No chance. Senate Republicans would never go along.

HE (laughing): Don’t be so sure. Corporate and Wall Street are up in arms. Trade war was bad enough. Now, you’ve got Mattis resigning in protest. Trump pulling out of Syria, giving Putin a huge win. This dumbass shutdown. The stock market in free-fall. The economy heading for recession.

If only!:)

Trump is a big baby — leading by the seat of his diapers

Trump, under siege from 17 separate investigations and counting, is doubling down and doubling down again on seizing kingly authority to overcome any obstacles to making the rest of us bow to his will. He is someone to whom we have granted powers that stretch the limits of the office who sees himself as unconstrained by facts, by courts, by law, by tradition, by alliances or even by common sense.

Felonious is just "CRAPTASTIC!"

Trump’s relationship with Ivanka and Jared Kushner falling apart as he grows more isolated in White House: report

Deep down in a report on Donald Trump’s spiral into anger and isolation in the White House as special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into his administration closes in, the New York Times reports that the president’s relationship with his closest family members is collapsing.

According to the Times, Trump has been telling close associates he feels “totally and completely abandoned,” and that no one is on his side, while also privately confiding some on the White House are working against him — including son-in-law Jared Kushner.

He has the feeling that nobody loves him. Awww, but he's correct.:D

News actually!

Trump replacing Defense Secretary Mattis early with former Boeing executive

U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to announce that Deputy Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan will take over from Jim Mattis as acting secretary of defense as of Jan., a senior U.S. administration official told Reuters.

Opinion Actually:

James Mattis Hurt Our Delicate President's Feelings, Gets Pushed Out Two Months Early.

Although Trump had apparently "read" Mattis' resignation letter, he apparently did not realize he had been insulted in it until it was pointed out on television.:)

When Mr. Trump first announced that Mr. Mattis was leaving, effective Feb. 28, he praised the defense secretary on Twitter, saying he was retiring "with distinction." One aide said that although Mr. Trump had already seen the resignation letter when he praised Mr. Mattis, the president did not understand just how forceful a rejection of his strategy Mr. Mattis had issued.

Either that or someone read it to him and simply left out all the stuff that might have hurt his feelings. Anyway, he was real mad about it when he did find out, and wanted everyone to know that, actually, he only ever hired him out of pity and that ruining our relationship with our allies in order to forge new ones with every lunatic dictator on the planet was a good thing.

Trump’s swampy Pentagon pick oversaw weapons boondoggles forcing the military to buy weapons it didn’t want

The Air Force said that it didn’t want any more F-15s, because they prefer the F-35 stealth fighter from Lockheed Martin, America’s biggest defense contractor. The Pentagon overruled the military branch, saying that they would be added to the government anyway. It was Shannahan who “prodded” them to include the planes, Bloomberg reported.

Rules dictate that Shanahan recuse himself from any decisions involving Boeing, but that clearly wasn’t done in this case.

Boeing is Waaaay behind on delivery of the KC-47 Tanker. Maybe they will get a pass now?

Dow plunges after ‘moron’ Treasury Secretary Mnuchin’s message from Mexico spooks markets

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin‘s strange announcement late Sunday that there was no reason to worry about bank liquidity is being seen as responsible for extending market loses Monday morning as the DOW plunged more than 400 points less than an hour after opening.

‘Idiot’: Paul Krugman batters ‘clueless’ Mnuchin for panicking markets with tweet

On Monday, Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman went on a tweet storm in reaction to Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin ’s tweets about calling banks.

While on a beach in Cabo, Mnuchin called leading banks to reassure them about the plummeting U.S. economy.

Right. This is why Flynn can give Mueller all the cooperation in the world and I still think he should do ten years in fed prison--precisely because of his position when he sold out his country to line his own pockets.

Twitter mocks Trump after he tweeted ‘poor me’ for being home alone

On Monday, President Donald Trump tweeted that he was “all alone” in the White House because of the government shutdown. The partial government shutdown is due to Trump refusing to sign off on funding until he gets his border wall.

“I am all alone (poor me) in the White House waiting for the Democrats to come back and make a deal on desperately needed Border Security. At some point the Democrats not wanting to make a deal will cost our Country more money than the Border Wall we are all talking about. Crazy!” he tweeted.

Twitter was 'less than kind" in response. :)

Top Democrats slam Trump and House Freedom Caucus for ongoing government shutdown

The two top Democrats in the U.S. Congress said on Monday that it is difficult to find a solution to the partial federal government shutdown, with President Donald J. Trump influenced by Republican conservatives from the House of Representatives.

“As long as the president is guided by the House Freedom Caucus, it’s hard to see how he can come up with a solution that can pass both the House and Senate and end his Trump Shutdown,” Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer and House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi said in a joint statement.

Let Felonious celebrate Christmas with the Freedoms, who are so Christian they would never let him be alone, right?

Maybe Bob will give us all a present, soon?:D

Here’s why it’s time for Republicans to threaten Trump with his favorite epithet — ‘you’re fired

“Up to now I have not favored removing President Trump from office. I felt strongly that it would be best for the country that he leave the way he came in, through the ballot box,” columnist Thomas Friedman wrote. “But last week was a watershed moment for me, and I think for many Americans, including some Republicans.”

“It was the moment when you had to ask whether we really can survive two more years of Trump as president, whether this man and his demented behavior — which will get only worse as the Mueller investigation concludes — are going to destabilize our country, our markets, our key institutions and, by extension, the world,” the columnist wrote. “And therefore his removal from office now has to be on the table.”

The GOP’s “only responsible choice” is to intervene with an ultimatum, Friedman wrote, that “makes clear” to Trump that if he doesn’t shape up, “the party’s leadership will have no choice but to press for his resignation or join calls for his impeachment.”

“It has to start with Republicans, given both the numbers needed in the Senate and political reality,” the columnist added. “Removing this president has to be an act of national unity as much as possible — otherwise it will tear the country apart even more.”

Will the Rethugs react to this disaster? Or, will they blame it on Obama, if he haddn't let Trump win we wouldn't be in this mess!

‘He inherited a criminal enterprise’: MSNBC panel breaks down the ‘fraud behind the Trump family fortune

MSNBC’s “All In” with Chris Hayes detailed the bombshell report by The New York Times that debunked President Donald Trump’s origin story of being a self-made businessman, when instead he inherited money from his father and would be worth more if he’d just invested in index funds instead of becoming a developer.

“My favorite part about the $413 million story is somebody who inherited $413 million managed to be $900 million in the hole,” MSNBC’s Joy Reid noted.

White House aides want Trump to throw Mnuchin ‘under the bus’ for stock market meltdown

With the stock market taking a record dive on Monday, Bloomberg reports that the knives are out for Mnuchin, who did his damage while vacationing in Mexico while Trump postponed his holiday vaction to Mar-a-Lago to deal with the government shutdown.

According to the report, “Trump’s frustration with Powell over the market’s performance — expressed in tweets and interviews — now may turn to his Treasury chief. One person familiar with the president’s thinking says that Trump has weighed dismissing Mnuchin, while another said that Mnuchin’s tenure may depend in part on how much markets continue to drop.”

The report goes on to say that Mnuchin doesn’t have many fans in the White House other than Trump who appears to be souring on him as he has done with multiple administration hires.

“There are plenty of people inside the White House who are not fans of Mnuchin who are happy to throw him under the bus,” explained Stephen Myrow, managing partner at Beacon Policy Advisors in Washington and a former Treasury official. “Up ’til now, he’s been protected by the fact that Trump liked him and he’s been a loyalist.”

Will the Munchkin make it to Friday?

Russia ‘chose’ Trump and then ‘ran him for president’ — and it could destroy him: ex-Israeli spy chief

Tamir Pardo, the former head of Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency, said that Russia “ran” Donald Trump as their preferred candidate in the 2016 elections.

Pardo said at The Marker’s digital conference that Russia examined American politics and decided that Trump was most aligned with their interests.

They “thought, which candidate would we like to have sitting in the White House?” he said, according to Haaretz. “Who will help us achieve our goals? And they chose him. From that moment, they deployed a system [of bots] for the length of the elections, and ran him for president.”

But Pardo warned the same tactics used to support Trump could also be used to topple him.

“I don’t see a president coming out of the White House after a year-and-a-half or two and telling the public ‘I’m sitting here by mistake.’ Politicians from all over the world think it serves them too,” he remarked, according to Arutz Sheva.

Nancy Pelosi hilariously mocks Trump as his border wall degenerates into little more than a ‘beaded curtain

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), the likely House Speaker come January when Democrats take over the chamber, joked that Trump’s border wall has been reduced from a cement barrier to a “beaded curtain,” USA Today reported.

“He says ‘we’re going to build a wall with cement and Mexico’s going to pay for it’ while he’s already backed off of the cement – now he’s down to, I think, a beaded curtain or something,” Pelosi told USA Today. “I’m not sure where he is.”
