I slept briefly, I am awake briefly...and with no outpouring of celebration, no applause, no fuss, simply a quiet moan (mebed, god I need to get back to me bed !) I slide into the 101 zone, rite of passage complete.

Now will somebody PLEEEEEASE tell me about this AV thing that is apparently so important, and how to 'do it'.

Please tell me I don't have to have a tattoo.......I got a ...............thing..............about needles.....*gulp*

Don't worry, tats ain't necessary. My first couple avs were Calvin N Hobbes. I think shots of ourselves is only one of the fun ways to do it.

Bel, Doc H. is the best thing Kilmer's done (I hope you don't think his too easy imitation of Jim Morrison was worth much). I loved "Frederick fuckin' Chopin!"

I agree with both points on Kilmer, 'Dita. There were only two things I really got out of the Ollie stone flick. ( I do own it, I can't help it, I'm addicted to both DVD's and the doors. )

One, a brief shot of Meg Ryans right breast, which I enjoyed greatly.

Two, a nickname from my frat brothers. Scene is set in a college dorm room in Iowa, a boring night hanging around drinking with the boys. Somebody says "What the fuck is there to do in this town that could actually be interesting?" and my voice says from the corner, "We could go see The Doors on acid..."

For the next two years if we were sitting around a)bored and b)drunk some wiseass would go, "Hey 'Cid, what are we gonna do tonight?"

Follow up to last post

By the way, we could not find any acid in that town at that time, probably a good thing. We did find some fairly aromatic ciggarettes and I recall that we all thought it was a masterpiece until we saw it without the other influence.

Don't get me too wrong, I like the flick, it is just not Oscar material.
