To those of you who so arrogantly made these and other Tooth Fairy predictions, what were you thinking? pp_man has an excuse, but what about the rest of you?

Two headlines at Refdesk.com say it all.

Allied casualities at 80.
SARS DEATHS reach 100.

[For those who live in the fantasy world that declared AIDS an epidemic, this is how a REAL epidemic works  ]

Obviously you've only watched US propoganda news. You are, in fact, losing the war.

'NO US PRESENCE IN CITY'

US forces are "commiting suicide" by attacking Baghdad, according to Iraq's information minister.

As news came in of increased Coalition attacks on the capital, Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf said: "They are begining to commit suicide at the walls of Baghdad."

He said they were being "slaughtered in their hundreds" at the edge of the city.

But he insisted there were no Coalition forces within the city and scotched rumours saying US forces had taken control of the Information Ministry and a number of Saddam Hussein's palaces.

"We fed them yesterday with hell and death. This morning we will not mention the total number of deaths or tanks destroyed - the operations are still going on.

"They pushed a few of their armoured carriers and some of their tanks with their soldiers and we besieged them and we killed most of them and I think we will finish them soon.

"My feeling as usual is that we will slaughter them, all of these invaders - their tombs will be here in Iraq.

"They have no control even of themselves.

"Be assured, Baghdad is safe, protected. Iraqis are heroes."

Yesterday I read a post that says the information minister is telling lies. Now he's being quoted as truthful. What to believe?

I have you on ignore Lance...

...and have no idea what your post said. I'm sure it was right up there with one of Hanns'.

Correctomundo...

I still see the scheiss, but even I may begin to take measures against Spearchucker and the p_p_DonWAVIAN crowd.

Should have googled up some dead crow for this thread miles. :)

Oh you know just as soon as Capitulation occurs there's gonna be a Crowfest '03 thread an we owe it to ourselves to make it a sticky by our own efforts...

Just so it's there when the wailing starts again as we go after Syria.

Hey Miles, thanks for taking the time to post to tell me you're not listening to me....I can picture you with your hands over your ears going "I can't hear you!!!" over and over....ha!

Anyway, your thread suggests the hostilities in Iraq have ended. I wish that were the case....

Sky News.

It's amazing how the US media keeps telling Americans they're winning this thing...when the rest of the world knows the Truth.

When the Bozos who said those things admit they were wrong...

...monkeys will fly out of their butts.

Dream on, Lance.

Sky News gets their scoops directly from the Iraq Minister of Information ... and we all know how credible he is.

What is amazing is how you keep on cheering for the Butcher of Baghdad to win, in spite of the TRUTH of the situation. Your state of denial is only superceded by your obvious dislike for the US.

Sky News like the rest of the media in Baghdad attend the Information Minister's briefings and their presenters, like everyone else's, have difficulty not bursting into gales of laughter when he comes out with his 'slaughter' stories!

The press conference was broadcast live last night. The translator was biting his tongue with laughter as the Minister was spouting his tripe.

What was so funny was FOX was broadcasting split screen live. On the right was a picture of the presidential palace with an M1 parked in the entranceway with an US flag flying from the antenna while the Minister was on the left side of the screen doing his press conference. I was doubling over with laughter.

With all due respect Miles....there is probably upwards of 125 dead now total, and we have pissed off the entire arab population. When do you think we should stop counting the deaths this has caused, and will cause for the next forty years?

And save your "lives we have saved" breath. I dont care if they kill each other.

This hasnt even started yet dude. It's still the previews.

"Victory is imminent" ... "Hearts and minds" ... "Bringing democracy to the region" ...

Seems to me I've heard these phrases before. Gosh, where was it...?

Hmm video on that site does not show any bodies of American solders. If they "slaughtered" all invading forces wouldn't they be gloating and broadcasting gory images? It's possible that US jams and censors all video and audio coming from Iraq but then how did that broadcast got out?

Killswitch.

We pissed off the entire Arab population? Thanks for the news flash. Like they haven't been pissed off at us already.
Wait, what about the Shi'ite Cleric that declarded a fatwah (sp?).

What about the Iraqi population that has been greeting the troops with gratitude for their liberation?

Oh yeah, that's just Yanqui propaganda and no truth.

That's okay.....The BBC stopped believing the Pentagon lies a week ago, saying the Iraqi Information Ministry had greater credibility.

At least when the Iraqis say they've captured five Coalition soldiers they show five Coalition soldiers. The Pentagon claims that whole divisions of the Iraqi army surrender at the drop of a hat, then not only can't show thousands of Iraqi POWs, they then have their credibility further shot to hell by those "surrendered" Iraqi divisions continuing to attack them in uniform and with their armoured vehicles and artillery.

What next are we going to hear, the whole of Baghdad suddenly surrendered and threw flowers at the "liberating" US troops without a bullet being fired? Then the very next day the Pentagon can look even sillier when a dozen more tanks are shown as burnt-out wrecks on Al-Jazeera, Reuters, AFP, and Iraqi TV....and Saddam Hussein still appears on Iraqi TV demanding the USA surrender....?

Or perhaps the Pentagon will claim that in heavy fighting only one US soldier was killed, but over 1,000 Iraqi soldiers were killed.....Oh, hang on, we just heard that bit of "Rambo" BS a couple of days ago.

Judgement should be withheld until all tolls can be earnestly assessed.

Though I'm glad the American casualties are not bad, relatively speaking, that's only one cost coming from this war. We still have the tragedies happening to the Iraqi civilians, the damage to the country and its recovery to reckon with.

The whole of this thing is still in its infancy.

Sure they already hated us for the most part, but this has inflamed the hatred in Syria, Jordan, Iran and the like.

That, and our continued support of Isreal, and thier disrespect for the Palastinians is going to make sure that terrorism is alive and well for.....well maybe forever.

Did something need to be done in Iraq, and in the middle east....sure.

Lets see if all the people think this was a great idea years from now after dozens of terrorist attacks worldwide, and a trillion dollars spent.

It's more the support for Israel than anything else. I just can't think that if we didn't take out Saddam, then there would be less terrorist attacks. Doesn't make any sense.
