Of course the last one sent my score down the tubes, but hey! 100 people liked it enough to vote on it!

Nice going, I know how I felt when my first story, a mind control story (aye, there's the rub), passed 100. It's currently one of only two stories of mine able to pull that off and one of only 4 or 5 to even pass the 50 mark.

Group Sex is okay, but Incest!! Posted my only incest story (written to order for a poster in the Story Ideas forum) June 25th, and the thing has 97,700+ views and 458 votes, which makes it as bomb-proof as I can imagine ever being. Too bad it's not an H.

Incest is an avid category, people vote and post feedback like madmen.

My only Group Sex story went up in June, as well, and it STILL only has 13 votes.

Category makes a big difference. 100 votes in Group Sex is a lot of voters. You must be awesome.

I'm new as far as actually posting stories, but have been a fan of the site for a long time. I agree that the category has a lot to do with it; check the top lists and see (that's what I did).

Fetish seems to vote quite a bit, too...

But! About a third of my Incest readership's feedback was virulently negative. They tend to set distinct boundaries you really must not cross. The votes, too, were all over the scale. It's a vivid story with a few lumpy flaws in it, but there's an element of force just at first. The force thing pushed buttons in a lot of the readers.

Another incest author told me the landscape of the incest genre is littered with booby traps and landmines. Not just force, but contexts, ages, degrees of consanguinuity. Very particular bunch.

I was, too.

I get along better with gays than with sailors, in general. Navy sailors. Civilian ones I do better with.

I thought the hoop was a sort of conceit, representing the wheel for steering a sailing vessel, but with none of the annoying solid bits in the middle which might block the view?
