Same type of day here as yesterday - and I'm feeling the same, about an 8 or so.

Got my 8 monther on my lap - taking him down to DC/NVA to see his older half/brothers. Should be an easy drive down that big greazy - I-95.

Have a great day and a fine, fine weekend!!!!! Plan fun! I you don't it plans around you.

Morning Sparky.

Hovering around a six Sparky. Shitty week. Hockey tryouts ...I hate cutting kids. Business probs at work. Senior management under investigation (above my pay grade), police involved. I have the flu.

Final cuts/draft this sunday so we'll have our team and we can get to the fun stuff. Hopefully no 2 hour interviews with the gendarmes next week. Can't get much worse than it was this week.

I'm gonna have a couple of beverages this evening then (loudly) i'm gonna' say fuck it and drive on. Life is too short to worry and fret about trivial things

Morning all.....

Exp? Wonderin' where you'd been. I got slightly involved with hockey once. A very close, childhood, life-long friend - who had played goalie his entire life - and who was now in an older dude adult league that was pretty serious with former semi-pros and pros - invited me to some games. (Is it a game or a match?) So, I was an ignorant yet enthusiastic fan there for a while and just so happens I can skate. So, I'd be drinkin' beer in the stands - get pissed at some opposing team member - go into the locker room and volunteer to suit up and kamikaze the dude. Never happened of course but man - that sport did fire me up. Not for me on TV though - just too fast, don't know all the rules etc.. My oldest son does HS Lacrosse - and of course I don't know that very well either. I do know the feeling though. I love getting fighting mad.

Hockey is great Sparky. Game not match BTW. Probably just as well that your buddy didn't let you 'kamikaze' (otherwise known as 'running' someone) anyone. An experienced player would have probably been able to take your hit and make it hurt you worse than it hurt him. A lot like some martial arts that way.

Hockey is fast, but thats why it is easy to lose yourself and your worries in it. Speed is one of the reasons I love it.

Now lacrosse ... thats just crazy. Unbelievably violent and rough but a heck of a lot of fun, even though I suck at it.

I pretty proud of my oldest son....

This is where proud Papa gets to boast a little.

He just turned 17 in late July - a Leo like me - he's beginning to tower over my already at about 6'4" and 185. I super, swimmer/track like shape.

He bought himself my Dad's older 4x4 Toyota for a buck (spoiled kid) and got a job at Radio Shack. Grades are passing but not great (better than I did, far better)- he started picking up my guitars at about age 10 and now fronts a band of HS buddies and practices every Thursday afternoon.

A girl asked him to Home Coming the other evening - he had to rent a limmo, dinner and all - said it was merely okay for the expense. Cheap bastard.

We'll be shopping (with his hard earned cash) this weekend for a bass guitar. He's been borrowing mine for a couple of years and I miss it.

I could go on about the other too (feeling guilty, shorting them) but - another time.

mornin'! Hazy here but still nice. I love Fall. Feeling kinda "just here" today.. making it a 5. Middle of the road. Not too good for a Friday, but I told my ex-hubby that I'd help him shop tonight.. why? I don't know. I get sucked into these things and before I know it I'm doing stupid shit like this. ~sigh~

I think it all started with the bad Merlot I bought last night. hehe

Congrats to your Yankees. While it did not matter to me which team won, I love see x-Brave Mike Stanton do such a great job.

I loved him as a Brave and was happy to see him do so well after all he has been through.
