Your post was "postid=1084854#post1084854" according to my address bar. That means we're nearly 85,000 posts past the one million mark already.

The post ID numbers include deleted posts and threads. The point here is that there have been over a million post already although not all of them are currently part of the BB database.

That's a lot of deleted threads and posts...... almost 100,000.

I didn't realize that our most prolific trolls were quite that prolific.

If they're not up now, they don't count. I go by the main page.

So, you weren't aware of your moment in history then?

Again, I don't care what the ID number says. Posts that are deleted for any reason should not count. If I looked, I could not find one million posts on the board right now. Therefore, there are not 1,000,000 posts.

Just how to you propose to determine which post is #1,000,000 then? A week after the front of the board says there are a million posts, there will be no way to determine which was the "magic" post. At least going by the post id number I can repeat consistently the claim that Juspar posted the miillionth post.

Unless somebody's getting cash and prizes for making post number 1,000,000, I'm not sure why it matters who made the post. Repeating a claim consistently doesn't mean it's correct. Reliable, yes; valid, no.
