Overall, prices in June climbed 5.4% year-over-year, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), and 0.9% over the past month, the biggest monthly gain since June 2008. Even when you strip out volatile food and energy prices—so-called core CPI inflation—prices rose by 4.5% year-over-year, the largest such gain since November 1991.

Market observes are now left wondering just how transitory is this transitory inflation spike and how long will average Americans stomach it.

The correct way to phrase that question is: What the fuck is the Down Jones?, that is, unless you thought 'Down' was a person's given name and it could be true, if I as talking about a rapper.

In this case, the 'Down' Jones is what happens to the Dow Jones under Joe Biden; a meta-like nickname...or maybe it's what happens when my phone thinks I'm typing 'Down' instead of 'Dow' while I'm on the go and I'm not paying as close attention as I should.

A 'typo on the go' is what it is.

Regardless, President Biden is the President of Inflation, and no amount of wordplay is going to change that, though it does make it easier for D-bags to ignore the thread instead of addressing the issue.
