This is a first (and only) story for this author, so be nice people.

What is a fetish?

The author of this story says that his love of performing oral sex on men is a "fetish". He says that he isn't gay, he's definitely straight, he...uh...just likes to suck off men. Can something like that be considered a fetish? When I think of fetishes I think of men who love ladies shoes or women who love wearing latex. I have a fetish myself, I go bonkers over women who smoke. So, does this count as a fetish, or is giving men blowjobs when you say that you're straight just a way of avoiding that you're gay (or, to be accurate, bisexual)?

I'm not gay. So why did I get turned on by this story? The story is told in a reportorial style, just the facts, and it's very effective at relating what is a pretty unusal thing for a straight man to do. The detail where the narrator remembers that his new friend is wearing a wedding ring and so it's OK for him to put him in his mouth was really superb. A married man who stops in an X-rated video booth and then thrusts his cock through a hole to get sucked off by an anonymous mouth.

Maybe it's the idea of a glory hole that got to me. You stick your penis through, you can't see anything, all you can feel is a mouth and a tongue. You can imagine anyone you want on the other side. The flip side of the glory hole is that sticking your Johnson through brings to mind the French Revolution, with it's quaint little guillotine. Putting your dick in such a vulnerable position gets the teeth chattering. Getting a blow job would be pleasurable both from the sensation and from the relief that Lorena Bobbit isn't on the other end.

I remember a line from George Carlin. He said that being bisexual would be such a terrible thing. Can you imagine WANTING TO FUCK EVERYONE YOU MEET!!?? You're little black book would have to be the goddam Yellow Pages!

I always thought that a fetish was the sexualizing of something that's usually not associated with sex - i.e. feet, whips, etc. To me, oral sex is about as sexual as it gets, so I don't think getting blowjobs qualifies as a fetish, but I don't know all that much about fetishes. I'd love to hear from someone with more knowledge.

I've heard this before. I knew a girl who said she wasn't bisexual or gay but did enjoy bi/gay encounters. Her rationale was that she could only have "serious" relationships with men - therefore she was not gay. IMHO, if you are turned on by the same sex, then you are gay or bi to some degree. But I can see her point.

What do you people think? Is the main character in this tale bisexual? Why or why not?

The thing is that it is not an either, or deal. There are degrees of homo and bisexuality, maybe even more subdivided than Kinsey stated. People are more or less gay or bisexual. I'd say he is more bisexual than average but less bisexual than a man who wants emotional involvement with another guy

The following quotes are from the story:

Since I wasn’t gay and knew this to be very true, no question at all, ...

I still know that I am straight ...

The only requirement is that we both know that he has to be aggressive and we are there for only sex ...
What is the definition of bi- or homo-sexuality unless it means enjoying sex with a member of the same sex? I think the author "protests" too much, and this detracts from the story itself.

yourtoy, no one here will hold it against you if you are or aren't ga/bi/straight. Putting this story in the fetish category rather than Gay Male will only work against your getting the audience that will want to read your story.

Pieces taken directly from the story are in quotes with my responses directly below.

"I'm not sure where my interest came from... All of a sudden I became so curious as to what a cock in my mouth would feel like. I didn't find it dirty (well, not in a negative way) or disgusting... From then on, whenever I watched porn, I couldn't keep my eyes off the cocks. It just became my infatuation. All I could think about was having one sliding in and out of my mouth."

I applaud that the writer didn't get disgusted when he realized his fascination with oral sex with a man. This speaks volumes for him.

"Since I wasn't gay and knew this to be very true, no question at all..."

Huh? Yes, the author may not be 'gay' but he's wanting to experience oral sex with someone of the same sex. I believe this makes him at least latently bi-sexual.

"I guess he saw me peering through the hole. He started to turn around. Scared that I had been caught staring, I quickly sat back in my chair. I didn't want to get into a fight because I was a "damn queer". I mean, this was Texas."

I believe this is the reason for the author being so adamant that he's not gay/bi-sexual, fear of other men's reaction to him. Sad situation but unfortunately occurs everyday.

"I'm comfortable with my fetish. I can now get together face to face with a guy and not feel too uncomfortable. The only requirement is that we both know that he has to be aggressive and we are there for only sex, cruising works well for this. I don't like talk unless it's dirty, the dirtier the better."

I don't agree this is a fetish. This is a guy trying hard to deny his true sexuality. Fetish would be if he was sexually turned on by men's cum. He's turned on by performing a sexual act with another person, this is sex plain and simple. He's not less bi-sexual because he is only having oral sex with these men. He wants the other man to be the aggressor that way he can plead innocence if he's ever caught.

Just MHO!!
