God, I think I'm gonna be sick. For those that are faint of heart, leave now. This is sick shit.

Here in Atlanta, three bored kids trying to get on some stupid kid show on MTV decided a real good way to do that would be to take a dead cat, shove a metal rod from its rear to its skull, and parade it through a local PETsMART. They maintain that they never killed the animal, which I do NOT believe, they found it. Here is the kicker. These three sick, twisted, fuckers, are gonna get off with "Improper Disposal of a Dead Animal", which is a misdemeanor here.

How about counseling? Enroll those idiots at Charter.

Gotta go now, y'all try to have a good day.

How about I just do the same to the kids. Im not a great fan of cats or little dogs..but that is sick..and comes from a sad sick little minds. I wonder how their parents were feeling. Proud?? I dont think so.

You know...

I've been doing some research on violent crimes and the criminals who commit them, and one of the warning signs profilers look at is if the suspect tortured animals as a kid. Even if you're not an advocate of animal rights, twisted little fucks killing and mutilating someone's pet is a symptom of a much bigger problem, and it should be treated more seriously than it is.

Just my two cents.

Maybe the "Time Out" thing isn't working. Maybe letting kids help in deciding their own punishment isn't working. Maybe parent should try to be parents, instead of their kid's friend first. I don't know, but I SWEAR my child will not be a part of the decisions I make as a parent. My philosophy is and will be that the child does not have to be happy with the decisions I and the Fantasy Goddess make. The only thing they will have to do is survive me.

Can you say Dahmer?

Im a teacher, mostly special needs children. Im in a very good area in Victoria. The children on the whole are very well behaved. We do have a few problem ones though - and one in particular. This one decided when he found out his teacher was pregnant - and we are talking about an 11 year old - got his sisters baby doll and beheaded it...cut off a few of its fingers. He wrapped them up in a parcel and gave it to his teacher. It was nicely wrapped up with a bow. Imagine her shock and horror when she found a baby dolls head with fingers and toes in there covered in fake blood.
What to did the experts suggest...counselling for the kid. He knows how to play their game, he knows how to push buttons. IF it was up to me, I would have kicked him so hard up the backside then handed him over to her husband who is a police officer.
Im a great believer in cause and effect. The punishment must equal the crime. Softly softly isnt working anymore.Kids have got tougher.

naudiz, torture of animals is not so much of a red flag without the other two legs of that triad: fire starting and bed wetting.
But I certainly agree. Those kids need some help. Unfortunately, it will probably after they've been convicted of some horrible crime.

Ambro...you will be a wonderful father. Not just in the love-'em-and-spend-time-with-'em aspect, but in the parenting aspect. My oldest son (who'll be a teenager this summer, ugh!) once thanked me for disciplining him and not giving him everything he wanted. He said it made him a better person. No, I really don't know what I did right there, and I'm not looking that gift horse in the mouth.

MTV behind dead cat incident?

By Craig Schneider
Atlanta Journal-Constitution Staff Writer

Three teenagers who said they were inspired by an MTV show admitted Tuesday they paraded a mangled dead cat around a Cobb County pet store.

But the teens, who videotaped their bizarre prank, denied they had tortured the cat or mutilated its body. They insisted the animal was dead when they found it Friday by a roadside in south Cherokee County.

The mother of one teen told police they had been inspired by an MTV show that features unusual home videos and had been filming scenes all week. "This was the capper," said Cobb County police spokesman Dana Pierce.

Police did not charge the teens with animal cruelty, which can be a felony. Instead, the 18-year-olds - David Smith of Marietta and Casey Whitlock and Doug Darby, both of Canton - were handed misdemeanor citations for improper disposal of an animal. They left the cat's carcass Friday in the PetSmart on Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw.

"The video does not show them inflicting any damage on the cat," Pierce said.

A medical examination of the black cat revealed its injuries were most probably the result of torture, police said. Its body had been skewered from rear to front.

In a written apology addressed to PetSmart and the community, the teens asked forgiveness. "We would never hurt any animal," they wrote. "We have truly learned our lesson and will never do anything like this again." They also offered to volunteer at an animal shelter.

Police received about 30 calls of concern about the incident. Some people were so angry over the treatment of the cat that police are concerned about the safety of the teens.

After the incident became public this week, the Atlanta chapter of In Defense of Animals issued a $3,000 reward to help capture the criminals.

"It's hard to believe people can do such a thing, that it can be real," said spokeswoman Jean Barnes.

Police received a break in the case when Smith's father came forward Tuesday morning and acknowledged his son's role in the incident. The father also handed over their videotape. "He was angry," Pierce said.

The tape shows the teens picking up the dead cat from the road, then jumps to one of them with the cat at a Wal-Mart store. It ends with them wheeling the cat around the PetSmart in a shopping cart.

Gotta take my hat off to the father.

Exactly. First person I thought of, too.

The kids need help now, before it is too late.

Scary, isn't it. The future is in the hands of idiots and abusers. Just when did they decide that this was a good idea? I can't imagine...I can't seem to get over it either.

Ambrosious

Isn't that the same thing that got Tom Green a movie deal and Drew Barrymore?

sorry...

OMG..sorry Ambrosious, I made it ALMOST through the first sentence and couldn't go any further...BUT I did reply!! Stuff like that will make me cry, and I don't want to cry!
