There was once a time when the small visual things in the drudgery grind of living that you only noticed in the back of your mind were made fun and whimsical to take the edge off. Never shoulda left.

I think the best example of this is the Google Doodle. It used to be only on special rare occasions and/or holidays and now it's almost an everyday creative flip that celebrates a multitude of things in the world that most people aren't aware of.
