๐Ÿ™Œ ๐Ÿ™Œ ๐Ÿ™ŒStar Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker๐Ÿ™Œ ๐Ÿ™Œ ๐Ÿ™Œ

This series dissapointed me.

  • They killed off my heroes: Han, Luke, and Leia Killed herself.
  • Even if Kylo Ren can't control his emotions, he should of destroyed Ray, even with a laser shot to his hip.
  • And, this trilogy pretty much says: The heroes of the First Trilogy (second in order) are incompetent.
  • Luke running away to a planet to live in isolation? Luke's a fighter, not a coward. He doesn't feel sorry for himself.
  • That silly space chase in the Last Jedi?
  • Kylo and Ray fighting those guys in red armor weapon to weapon when Snoke showed just how useless a lightsaber is vs the Force.
  • There is so much more as well, such as Disney force-feeding their woke agenda ... what happened to Stars just being entertaining. (They may have drawn inspiration from historic events, but Lucas never tried to punch his message into your face at the expense of escapism.)
  • And this will get me some flak, but I don't care: I'm a guy. I like guy heroes. A female sidekick? Cool. A female partner: Cool. A female lead I'm supposed to identify with: I can't. It doesn't work for me, but I also don't commingle my life with the release dates of the Entertainment Industry, and my happiness isn't intertwined with my vision of a movie or TV show that doesn't belong to me.

I'll watch it, just like I watched the second one, but I won't rush to watch it and maybe in five years after the initial disappointment wears off, I'll like it better the second time around, and though I wish they would have set it centuries after Luke's era, I am looking forward to Lando's return. That initial burst of nostalgia always gives me the tingles, and that's worth it, even after they fuck it up for me.

But for those who are looking forward to it: Cool.

The horses are a concern for me.
And there wasn't that much left of either Death Star so I'm calling bullshit before suspending my disbelief to enjoy awesomeness.
But the horses, man. That's a legit concern right there.

And I liked Last Jedi. Fuck the haters. It was a decent story, well made, great visuals and Luke Skywalker. Don't need anything else. Yeah the side plot was dumb and the bombers were even dumber and once again they wasted Phasma but it was fun and not incredibly stupid and that's all I ask of Star Wars.

Ya know whats funny, I was at Star Wars Celebration this year and I got my pic taken with the Emporer himself and I'm all like "That's right, I'm in nerd heaven right now, bitches" and not once did it occur to me that Ian McDiarmid was there for more than pics.
Then they had the panel and showed the trailer and I was all "ohhhh."
I'm a quick one, I tell ya.

Maybe theyโ€™re flying horses. Everything else flies or hovers, except the Jawaโ€™s sandcrawler, the walking tanks and C-3PO.

I don't think it is. It had a great setup to be one.

But there is no character arch, it's a Mary Sue flick.

Rae doesn't have to struggle, she was just born the most powerful, greatest skilled top tier Jedi that can't be touched, totally invincible before she even knows anything about the force or being a Jedi......booooring.

At least they didn't bastardize it as bad as Star Trek Discovery.....which was produced, directed and written by a bunch of people who've never seen so much as a single episode of any ST series ever.

I used to love Star Wars. The original 3 movies were all amazing.

Then they ruined it by putting out garbage prequels and poorly thought out sequels.

Still great special effects, but otherwise, meh.

This whole series has been a far cry from the original movies in my opinion and kind of going off of the hype of having original characters in the movies versus surviving on their own. However they have killed off most everyone so maybe this will be their shot.
