šŸ˜ˆāœØšŸŗMrTenant's Tavern and Dungeon

Hey folks, haven’t been here in a while. I’ve been laid up for most of the week with gout of all things. Incredibly painful and in my foot so walking was almost impossible. I had to borrow my SIL’s cane. It’s much better now but I have an appointment Monday with a rheumatologist to see if there’s any joint damage.

I have a half-finished paint job staring me in the face and a lawn that needs overseeding. Shit.

It doesn't matter, male or female, feet are waaaaay too neglected...
There's a map of the feet, which shows every part of the body that they're connected to. It's absolutely amazing, what they control!
It really sounds like nonsense. It did to me.

But I had, totally unexpectong, a masseur start the whole body massage from my feet. When he was still treating feet, and I could clearly feel a change in my chest area and lungs, I had to ask what it is that he's doing... And he told me he incorporates reflexology into the massage. It was probably the best massage I have ever had. It's a shame I only found that guy a bit before moving out of that town.

I've since learned some reflexology myself, enough for home use. The effects that you can get with it are insane.

I’ve been curious about reflexology for years, always a bit dubious about alternative medicine. My feet were always sensitive and in previous massages I’ve had to fight from kicking out the tickle response.

YAAAY!
Thanks... I'll be looking for a copy to add to my library!

I'll skip saying "Thanks, asshole!" as several people said to me, when I suggested they read "Unintended Consequences" by John Ross, as the used hardback was selling for $200+ at the time. 🤣
And the shitty books are piled up chest high at Barnes and Noble for five bucks…

When someone starts "busting the nodules" which build up between the numerous bones in the feet... believe me, the "ticklish" goes away COMPLETELY!

NOTE: Busting the nodules should ALWAYS be done directionally, away from the heart, as they contain a lot of bad juju!

It's going pretty good so far. How are you? Are you on dry land or still on the Boat?
Proud to hear that!
I'm ok, thanks... back on land, doing my best to spoil my Lovely Wife.... Tonight, I'll serve shrimp in cream sauce over a baked potato... it eats like a poor man's chowder.

That does sound good..

Like Boat1 said - when handled hard enough, you don't tickle. You just need a more firm hand during the warm-up.

I don't believe *all* that they say about reflexology - or acupuncture for that matter. But there's a lot you can undeniably do with them. One possible way of functioning would be connective tissue. So far the only actually working method that I've heard for colic in babies is reflexology, and it's pretty effective too.
