In college I was friends with a guy who was one of our school mascots. He said that there were usually two guys to be the mascot for every game. Typically the older student would wear the suit for the first half of the game, and then the younger one would wear it for the second half. The benefit of seniority is that you wouldn't have to spend 2 hours dancing and jumping around in someone else's sweat.

I don't know if that tidbit adds or subtracts to the mascot kink. But I think it's useful information.
