Day 28 - A song about shopping

I got no use for shopping, Black Friday deals, Amazon and “stuff” in general.

Said advertising, you're lying
You're never gonna give me what I want
I said smooth talking, brain washing
You're never gonna get me what I need

The Saints - Know Your Product

Day 28 - A song about shopping

"Yesterday I went shopping buddy down to the mall
Looking for something pretty I could hang on my wallI
knocked over a lamp before it hit the floor I caught it
A salesman turned around said, "boy, you break that thing you bought it".

Day 28 - A song about shopping

I don't approve of excessive consumerism but if you're going to be an overpaid pop star/actor, then I hope you're buying your friends lavish gifts and giving generously to charities. But who's going to listen to a pop song about philanthropy?
Ariana Grande - 7 rings

Apologies for today's prompt but this holiday weekend that began on Thursday has a few themes to it and this is definitely one of them:

Day 29 - A song about or that you associate with American football

This is an opportunity for me to get nostalgic and go little off-brand. Thanks to NFL Films and my childhood friends, I will never think of anything else when I hear this music:

Sam Spence - The Over the Hill Gang

Day 29 - A song about or that you associate with football

I know I’ve told this story and played this several times, so I’ll play the B side of the single. The nicest band you’ll ever meet. They signed a shit ton of 45s and their albums (and Tony [rip] signed my Red Alert album). We got the readers digest version of this.

Still about West Ham United and the old Upton Park, which I been to a few times.

Cockney Rejects - West Side Boys

Day 29: A song about or that you associate with American football
While I've definitely heard it at plenty of basketball games and hockey games, this one is a stadium staple at every football game I've been to in the last 20 years.
"Seven Nation Army" - The White Stripes
