Of Course I am always up for a good challenge I enjoy being tempted sonically and mentally , I just did them in order of the list that the Seven Deadly Sins were presented .This was a really fun challenge @morelikeasong @PrettyLilPussy19I’m going to create a little playlist of all of the songs and it’ll be so fun to listen back and think of all of you weirdos!!
I really want to know why people chose their sins in the order they did. Was it random? Thought out? Were you dreading the last day or anticipating the arrival? I’m so curious!
This was also my first time completing a challengeI chose completely randomly and based on vibes, but I still think it’s interesting I started out with Sloth and ended with Wrath.
(I don’t know the difference between gluttony and greedI googled it many times)

It was random for me, I just ran with a 60s tune I liked. Then started on with it. I figured I would knock out the harder ones first.I really want to know why people chose their sins in the order they did. Was it random? Thought out? I have a tough time hearing this and not seeing Gene wilder and Peter Boyle in my mind.Day 26: A song from the 20s
Published 1929 and filmed in 1929.
There were a few sins that I knew I wanted to save for certain decades for specific songs (gluttony, sloth, pride). I also figured the rest of the sins would have WAY more songs that touch on those topics. There's no shortage of songs about lust. So I wanted to make sure I had the less common sins planned for. This was a really fun challenge @morelikeasong @PrettyLilPussy19I’m going to create a little playlist of all of the songs and it’ll be so fun to listen back and think of all of you weirdos!!

Me too!I have a tough time hearing this and not seeing Gene wilder and Peter Boyle in my mind.
Thanks for that!!
Interesting approach. Any way you sliced it, you had to be a bit strategic and at least plan it out.I started with Wrath, and ended with Sloth!
This challenge was different, because instead of simply formulating a list, you had to construct a 7×7 matrix.
I started randomly, and the first song I thought of was "Hey Joe" by Jimi Hendrix, which represented Wrath. (This was also the song that played in the movie "Forrest Gump" when Forrest beat the hell out of the guy that hit Jenny.)
Then I realized that I was going to have to plan ahead. I had a couple of songs for Sloth and Gluttony in the 70's by the same singer, but they were both taken before I posted. So I had to sit down and plan. I picked new songs in future decades for those sins (I actually had picked a couple of other Weird Al songs for Gluttony first, but I couldn't get the YouTube video to play, so I picked "I Love Rocky Road", and it worked out.) This also opened up the 70's for a new pick, and "Money" by Pink Floyd seemed to be a natural fit.
"Jealous Again" by the Black Crowes was an easy pick for Envy, and was one of first songs I thought of for the challenge. Pride was the tough one for me. (I figured that I could find Lust easily enough in any decade.) "I'm Too Sexy" was the only song that came to mind, but I already had my 90's song with "Jealous Again", so I used my second pass. Then later that night I had a revelation for the perfect Pride/Hubris song -- "American Bad Ass", which fit the 00's!
It actually became easier as it went on, because other contestants had different sin slots to fill later in the challenge -- I still had Lust and Sloth, but most people had already filled them. "Anaconda" seemed like an easy pull for Lust, and I had "Chaise Longue" in mind for Sloth ever since the second day of the week -- the girls in Wet Leg just look like total slackers in the video!
MY SEVEN DEADLY SINS PLAYLIST:
60's (Wrath): "Hey Joe" -- The Jimi Hendrix Experience (1966)
70's (Greed): "Money" -- Pink Floyd (1973)
80's (Gluttony): " I Love Rocky Road" -- Weird Al Yankovic (1983)
90's (Envy): "Jealous Again" -- The Black Crowes (1990)
90's (Pride): "I'm Too Sexy" -- Right Said Fred (1991) [2nd song pass]
00's (Pride): "American Bad Ass" -- Kid Rock (2000)
10's (Lust): "Anaconda" -- Nicki Minaj (2014)
20's (Sloth): "Chaise Longue" -- Wet Leg (2021)

I planned them all out at one time. I’ve been so busy and haven’t been able to participate as much. Since I had a chunk of time, I wanted to seize it. I started looking for a song I wanted to use for Pride because that was the trickiest for me and then I kind of moved out from there. My pick for sloth amused me so that was locked in early. I saved lust for last because I knew it would be the easiest to pick from any decade.I really want to know why people chose their sins in the order they did. Was it random? Thought out? Were you dreading the last day or anticipating the arrival? I’m so curious!
I'm tempted to join in next month now. Could be fun, if I remember to do it. But I enjoyed seeing all of the selections. Really cool honestly.
you also don’t need to post every day. Plenty of people (myself included) pop in and outJump in at any time! It’s ok if you didn’t start on day 1; everyone is welcome.
