My lit friendships like my personal friendships are all ages. Although, I do feel like I'm mostly working with 14 year olds.

In my mind, I had a limit of 10 years up and down. 10 years up had been easy, but my guy is over a decade younger than I. He is an old soul, and probably the only person I can see making that exception for.
But yeah, he’s the one that doesn’t care about age. Younger men really don’t seem to, from what I’ve experienced.
As for “lads”, PYT, beefcake?

Interesting thoughts. It seems creepy when a man is pushing a woman 20 years younger. It looks okay for a woman. I think that has changed over the years. Maybe that's just me.

The funny thing is that when I was younger I was really into older women. Now that I'm older myself I'm still into those kind of women. Just that now I'm, like, 10 years older than those kinds of women. Haha

Nah, age really doesn't matter that much to me. Maturity is a very attractive quality, though. I've tried going younger and the things you think would be fun about it are definitely fun. But it's a drag having to explain my taste in music to them. Hence my tongue-in-cheek Steely Dan rule.

Altogether I'll totally be friends with anyone. And attraction can happen all across the board, I'm sure. Ya know, within reason.

Do you have a set age range when it come to your partners? Has Lit affected that age range? If you do, how did you create your boundaries? If you don't, why not?

I usually go with anything near my oldest son's age is off limits.
But then when I was 22 I had a sugar daddy that was 60.

I love Pulpy’s questions and like that so many of you are willing to answer in writing. But the sayers on the audio thread don’t bite. Unless you want us to.

I’d say it’s mostly been older guys - my first real relationship (one with emotions) was with someone significantly older than me, but it eventually felt like he was lecturing me on some things. My flings have mostly been with older guys - 5-7 years, mostly. And come to think of it, the two relationships prior to my spouse were older than me as well. I eventually married younger - he’s 4 years younger than me. Luckily, he’s a fucking savant so most of my pop culture references, he gets.

That’s where I find it’s best for me to mesh - less age and more cultural references. Maturity is also not reserved for guys older than myself. There are selfish and ignorant motherfuckers at every age.

That said, I’m creeped out by big age differences in either direction. I look back in horror at that first relationship but have recognized what I was looking for in it and moved on.
