I rewatched The Birdcage a few months ago. There are definitely aspects of the plot that make me cringe in retrospect, but overall I think it holds up and I just adore Nathan Lane and Robin Williams.

I'll take the punishment on this one, as its not technically in a movie. However, it did win 2nd place when I polled my kids for Day 6's music they heard around the house. And, I'd like to think that if Star Wars was a Broadway musical, and not a Space Opera, this song would definitely be the feauture track.

Honestly, this doesn't make me want to... no one song does. What this does have is that brooding feel, the low rumble as Paul Kimble's bass kicks on, the soft shuffle of the drums from Joey Peters and Grant's voice, the timbre of it, swooping and growling. I used GLB's (and others') songs in a 'playlist' for a story, helped by someone here (who knows who they are), using bits of lyrics and song titles as a central piece to some action.
