Honestly, I could have said "I love this line" and posted the entire song. It is just that well done. Beautifully erotic. Beautifully sad. Beautifully loved. Breakup songs are pretty passé --everyone has done one. But one that celebrates a good-bye fuck with such subtlety and grace should be held up and praised.

I have heard Ani's poetry as well. The singer/poet is a regular archetype, but she is the finest I know. As sacrilegious as it is in some circles, she is far more the American Poet than Dylan at his best.
