Similar to “the Milkman” episode from Tales from the Darkside.
In an older community, there’s a legend that’s been around for decades:
If you need something fixed, anything at all, write down on a white piece of paper “things to fix” and put what you need on it. Then leave the house or stay inside and make damn sure your eyes are covered. “The Fix-it man will come by and fix it. He doesn’t want payment, he doesn’t want thanks, he just wants to fix things and then leave.
So of course electronics, furniture, plumbing, etc. but people got other needs to. Maybe some thirsty girl our guy wants to get “fixed” or someone wants to have their dry spell fixed, or maybe someone wants a marriage fixed…well the fix it man will try though it doesn’t always understand the intent.
Figured just a simple anthology.
Some ideas:
1. Woman in a competitive sport breaks her leg so decides to try using the fix it man to heal her leg so she can get right back to competing.
Fix it man comes in and fixes it but in an odd way that is far more intimate than she expected. Woman soon decides to go all out over and over again in her sport, freely taking on injuries as the fix it man will fix it right away in its strangely erotic method.
Only thing is after she gets her most recent injury, a spinal one, she calls the fix it man and when he leaves, she’s completely paralyzed. Seems the fix it man figured her constant requests to get fixed meant her intent was to break her limbs permanently, so he instead left her paralyzed so she couldn’t get broken again.
2. Religious family finds out daughter is a lesbian and tie her up, intending to let the fix it man “fix” her. They hear noise from her bedroom and praise god as her bed begins to creak and groan from what must be the sounds of sexual congress.
Only thing is, the sounds stop and there’s a rattle on their door. Before they can protest, the fix it man comes through the door. As they scream and go mad upon seeing the fix it man’s true form, daughter runs away to her girlfriend’s house where they make love as daughter explains that something untied her and told her to run without looking back.
The next day, parents are gone. Their bedroom is a mess and strange fluids and torn clothes are all that’s around. A note is left: “sorry, will take more time to fix them -Fix it man”
