Why does the idea appeal to some people? Maybe because they are tired of their respective spouse/S.O. and this type of sceanario provides them a guilt free way to dispose of that person without any guilt of having done anything directly physical.

I didn't take that to mean a dangerous man would necessarily be a real threat to a guy and his SO. Some might consider a Han Solo type to be kind of dangerous.
