The latest innovation in breast augmentation may be a flat-chested candy-lover's dream come true: "gummy bear" breast implants. No, they're not edible -- at least, not literally. The FDA has approved the marketing of a firmer, shape-retaining silicone breast implant in round and teardrop shapes. Grant Stevens, a plastic surgeon who participated in the implants' trials, says he gave them such a cutesy nickname because "I got tired of explaining to patients that they're sort of like Jell-O" -- in other words, soft and squishy but not liquidy. The name apparently stuck like chewy candy in your teeth.
