Literotican's Joining the Presidential Challenge!

No, it's not what you think! It's not jumping on any election bandwagon - although you would get points for the jumping. And I am not recruiting you for the armed forces.

The Presidents Challenge is for all of us to gain some knowledge and some habit of physical fitness. Read here for the whole mission statement. The Challenge, it starts with you!

Its as easy as 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. The fun part is when you meet your goals you earn actual rewards! .Earn Awards! Appreciate What You've Accomplished!

I thought it would be fun to make this a Literotica thing so, I created a group called Literotica Fitness When you log on you set up your individual account. That is where you keep track of your personal progress.

Once logged in you come to what is called your "dashboard" there you are given the option to "view groups". Of course you dont belong to any group yet so, you'll want to join a group.

our group ID# is: 12770
Group member ID/name: is your Lit username

you can also do a search and find groups in your own state, even your own home town

I've already joined. I've been doing this abt 4 days now and am simply amazed at how my activities add up so fast.

I'm really excited about this and am so psyched about getting my fellow Lit's involved!

 luv ya all

More propaganda fed to the seemingly (or not) stupid masses?

And now Mr. Bush will know I'm a Litster?

No... but thanks for caring enough about my physical health

If he cared so much I wouldn't have to worry about how I'm going to pay for my next routine office visit

the Big Bro theory huh?

IMHO, I doubt Mr Bush has any idea who or what joins his lil fitness crusade.

And yes, even tho I dont know ya, I'm concerned (not worried) about your physical health. America is way too obese, so why not start here? Is it a crime to be concerned, to wanna help, to wanna inspire? Am I spreading propaganda cause I'd rather you walk, or ride your bike, to the fast food restuarant than drive your car?

hmmmm I'm not sure but I think there are several people here who can answer all those questions for us both :D

Sk~

PS the URL, or even description, of "literotica" is no where anywhere in the registration of the "group". Only people from Lit will really know what Literotica Fitness is....

<edited to add> haha now I am a commercial.... where's my freakin check?

If you skerrid just say you are skerrid :p

Actually the President's Challenge is something Bush probably knows about nil about. This was around back when I was in Middle School, it was intended to encourage children to strive to be more physically active and fit.

Actually you are right. Here's a quote from the first link I posted above:

"What began as a national youth fitness test has grown up. In a big way. Today, the President's Challenge takes staying active beyond the school gym, and into everyday life."

I gotta go do some stuff but, if anyone has any questions abt this program PM me and I will do my best to help.

laters

I remember doing this in elementary school.

I've always had an active lifestyle, I signed up just to track my activities and get more spam in my inbox.

Boasting about your sexual prowess AGAIN????

OK .. is this the same as the "Presidential Award" where us little 60's elementary kids did the mandatory 50 yard dash, shuttle run, arm hang, situps, etc? I got that patch every year...

But I thought they did away with that?

And if Bush doesn't know anything about it why is it called the Presidential challenge?

I'm sorry I know your heart is in the right place Sk... and I agree we're a nation of overindulged, fast food people afflicted with the disease of affluenza

But I'm such a cynic about it... that's why I stay away from politics

You're a nice chickie

Presidntial challenge?

I will be willing to run a jack hammer with any President until he has enough. That is in 140 degree temps too. If that is too prolitarian we can try and run some pipe using trig while the old mind boils under the sun.

I work construction. A gym membership? Hah you have to be kidding me. My life is a fucking workout.

*bump b4 bedtime*

well I signed up. I'm trying to lose weight anyway so maybe this will give me some motivation to get my lazy ass up and do some thing.:)

All it is, is a way to track your progress in exercising for 8 weeks, and to set goals.

It's as simple as using a trash mail account if you don't want to risk the spam.

lets get pumped up...... does mastrubation count as physical activity?

probally could be included in the weight lifting or skeet shooting categories :p

doing awesome!

those of you who have already joined are really great and awesome! thank you for supporting me with this :)

Even if you already have an exercise program or you walk every day, you can still join this and log your activity and be rewarded for your hard work!

I've been using my pedometer just at work, I didnt realize I was such a walkin fool!! :p One day I walked over 20,000 steps.. that was approx. 10 miles!
