Just thought I'd post some pics of the flooding that I have in my area from all the storms that we have been getting. Quite a sad thing too. And reports say that the sandbags won't hold either so there goes even more flooding.

Thus far this guy's business is safe. But water is expected to rise and his business will be in trouble.

Picture kinda speaks for itself, this is one way to cross the mini-river.

Lucky for these houses they are up on a hill. But their basements might be flooded. Sad you gotta go through all that water just to get your mail.

Now this is an obvious thing. Water on the pavement. Yeah just a little bit.

Yep this track and field were used in a high school. Now it might be a swimming pool.

Another overhead shot, closer, of a few buildings ruined.

Yep folks, that used to be a soccer field. You can see the two goals, but nothing else.

Last pic, and this is a grade school in the area. All this water is such an amazing and terrible thing.

Florida is so far down on our rain levels it is not funny either. This weather is freaky and weird. What about those 50+ tornados that hit the midwest? I keep hearing things about global warming. It makes you wonder.

Now they can play water polo. It's amazing what mother nature can do.

Thanks Sara, how soon can you have it made?

Yep, the Des Plaines area.

And yeah it was 85 tornado's on saturday and 26 on friday and not sure how many on sunday. Over 1,200 reports of severe storms though.

Amazing isn't it George?

So did you all actually have a river overflow or is that all rain the ground just can't obsorb?

Kinda interesting. I just finished watching Nova about Venice sinking, and what's being done (or rather, argued about) to stop it. Apparently they get water levels that high about ten times a year, just from the tides.

All the rivers over here overflooded. Most between 4-5 ft above flood stage.
